I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I came here, because my dryer no longer got hot. I talked to a man at the store and told him the dryer wasn’t heating. He said it would it $ 20 for an in home visit. He said the problem could cost anywhere from $ 60 to $ 125 dollars to fix. I really needed my dryer fixed so i went for it despite the low ratings. I made an appointment at 5pm, the earliest available, for the same day and gave the man my number. At around 2pm a man called me. It was a different man for the one I met at the store. The man at the store looked like the son to the man fixing my dryer. I was surprised that they called earlier than expected. He looked at the dryer told me the heating coil had burned out. Said it would be $ 55 to fix. So I was thinking $ 55 plus the $ 20 for the visit $ 75 to fix my dryer. Still cheaper than the trips to the laundromat. Fifteen minutes later, he called me over saying he was done. He showed me the burned out coil that was in my machine. I asked how much and he said $ 50. I was happy to pay him the $ 50 since it was cheaper than I expected. The man left and I started to wash clothes =)

About 8 – 9 years ago I went to this place to buy a used refrigerator, the services was fine and even deliver to my home, from El Monte to Covina and NO extra charge. Was happy, right now I need a stove and no doubt will go there again.

Do not, under any circumstances, use this company. I made an appointment with them 5 days in advance. On the day and time they were supposed to come, no one arrived. 30 minutes later, still no one, and still no phone call. Finally, nearing the hour-mark, I called them, and the woman answering the phone had such a bad attitude. When I asked her where the repair tech was, she said he «just» left and wanted to know if I still wanted him to come. I said, of course, but I’d like to know if he’s coming soon or not. Then she hung up on me. I started calling around other places because I figured they weren’t coming, when the tech called about ten minutes later. Instead of identifying who he was and where he was from, he gruffly asked, «Where do you live?» right after I answered, «Hello.» So of course, I’m thinking, «Who is this nut job who wants to know where I live?» After I realized who it was, he then tells me he’s going to be another 20 minutes later(this would make it almost an hour and a half after the appointment time). Then the real kicker is, when he finally arrives, he looks at my freezer(which had stopped working), and after about 20 seconds he goes, «Nothing wrong with it.» I keep telling him it doesn’t work right, and the food gets spoiled. I ask him isn’t he supposed to do some tests to it or something? He gets mad, and then says, «Go ask Sears,» packs up his bags, and leaves. This company is so unprofessional and so clueless, I have no idea how they stay in business. I’ve never written a review on Unilocal before, but felt so compelled to write about my experience to spare someone else a similar experience. Stay away from them, unless you want to waste a perfectly good day waiting around for them to tell you your appliance is working fine when you know it’s not.

With the economy the way it is, I had no choice but to save money. This place saved me more than 50% off new prices. They work just as good and the services provided to me were top notch. Even when I start making more money I’ll always buy used and come back here. They have new as well but why buy new when you can save so much. A+ and I recommend them 100%
