First time coming here. My wife and I decided to give the shrimp taco a try. We actually liked the taste and the shrimp are nice size too not those small shrimp. Now the price is a little high but it’s well with it… Im yet to try the fish tacos. I’m looking forward to that. I’ll leave a picture of our shrimp taco.

BESTSHRIMPTACOSEVERRR! I love shrimp tacos soo much and this place is the best. One taco is very big and comes in a container. One taco has about 10 huge shrimp with some delicious spicy sauce poured on top. The shrimp burritos are a bit pricey but also very yummy. If you come here please try a shrimp taco!

Taco stand type of place. Ordered ahead and came here with my coworker. Flavors on the fish taco were on point and the chunks of fish extra meaty. I just didnt like the fried part of the fish. The exterior got a little tough to chew at some points. Shrimp tostada was a nogo. Shrimp looked gray and texture was a little off. Ill pass. My coworker got a shrimp taco though and said it was way better than the fish, so ill have to come back to see how much truth that statement holds.

I would do 3 ½ stars if I could ONLY because it took 20 mins to order our food and another 45 – 60 minutes to get our food. I am very surprised no one else mentions this wait at the restaurant in their reviews. The food is good, but I don’t know that it’s worth that really long wait. Their shrimp tacos are very delicious. My only complaint is their service. They need to better their system for their order and ticket turnaround.

If this hole in the wall were closer to me I’d die from high cholesterol within a month. The shrimp tacos will have you feenin! From the creamy slaw, to the fried shrimp and red sauce there hasn’t been another shrimp taco I’ve had as good as theirs. Make sure to get a michelada while you wait for your food.

Hands down, this is the best seafood taco place I’ve ever been to. My shrimp taco was loaded with huge shrimp. Consider the amount of shrimp you get on your taco, the price is pretty good! Their fish tacos are also amazing. YOUWILLNOTREGRET. All you need for your cheat days is 1 shrimp and 1 fish taco from this place. CASHONLYTHOUGH.

For the Last few years I have been on a Search for the Best Shrimp Taco in LA. I have been to most of the Players but I Never Thought it would be So Close to Home. We went at the Recommendation of Tony Portillo, He told me that I would have the Best Tacos I have ever had. Well, He didn’t Lie. We ordered 2 Large Campechana’s and 2 Shrimp Tacos. The Cocktails were Really Good. At $ 17.50 Per you better get a great product and they Do Not Disappoint, But The Tacos. Perfectly Fried Large Shrimps, Piled High on a pair of Fried Corn Tortillas, Crema and a Large Wedge of Avocado and all you need is Chile. Simple, Pure Construction with Fresh Ingredients. I Have Found My Nirvana. Thank You Tony!!! Can’t Wait to Go Again and Try The Fish…

We love coming here. My coworkers and I eat here at least once a month. The portions are big, food is fresh, service is friendly. I only wish that they would be consistent. Sometimes the portions are humongous and sometimes they’re kinda small and lacking in the usual ingredients. I still recommend this place. Food is delicious when they are on point.

This place is an amazing hidden gem! You must try the shrimp tacos here. The wait is super long because they make every taco fresh but it will be so worth it! About 10 to 15 minute wait if not more. I got two shrimp tacos and they were super filling! Some of my friends got the fish tacos and it seemed like they were stuggling to keep it all together. Looks like evry taco has a whole tilapia slice. The grilled oysters looked SOGOOD here too but I didn’t get to try it. I would reallly recommend this place and maybe get to go if it’s late at night. IT’S CASHONLY!

Maybe I’m biased because I like Tacos Baja better. BUT this is not to say that their taco wasn’t fantastic! The fried fish was piled high atop two tortillas with a mountain of sauce… Sprinkled with cabbage. I’m not a big fan of heat myself so I had to work my way around all the salsa. If you’re a wussy like me, you’ll think the taco is a tad spicy. The fish was fried well, but I felt like there was more batter then fish. Depends on your palate I guess. In review: –The menu was kind of confusing. There are multiple prices, some crossed out or what looks to be crossed out. If you aren’t a regular it won’t make sense. –Fast, pretty friendly service. –Portions were large, but price per portion wise, I’m not sure if it was worth it. With so many mariscos placed out there, this wouldn’t be my number one choice unfortunately.

Where can we go for lunch in El Monte? Let’s give this place a try. Met up with my cousin for lunch and it was not packed, which was a good thing because she only had an hour lunch. The menu was a bit confusing in terms of their prices. Prices to most items were written over with different color ink. So which price is the correct one? A bit frustrating! BTW, this place accepts cash only. I ordered a small shrimp ceviche and it was kind of expensive. The person that took the order stated well shrimp is expensive and we give you a lot. Oh ok… she was right but I still think it’s expensive. My cousin ordered two tacos – one shrimp and one fish. Both came out drenched in sauce where she couldn’t even eat it like a taco. Disappointed. Ask for sauce on the side! Parking on the side or the front of the restaurant. Plenty of parking so no worries.

I been wanting to try this place since my wedding photographer raved About this place. I finally had time and in the area so decided to drop by. This place is across from El Monte high school. I ended up parking on the street and there was plenty on a Wednesday night. I was debating between the fish or shrimp taco and decided to go with the fish. One fish taco was $ 4.50. It was huge! I waited about 20 minute for my one order of fish taco. I don’t mind waiting long as long as my food is cook to perfection but next time I would phone in my order. This is a must if u don’t want to be waiting. I finally got my food. I thought it was good. The fish was still hot and the sauce wasn’t too spicy. I must say it was good. So why only the three stars. I wish services was a lot better, that would had made my experience of sitting 20 min for my food a lil bit more enjoyable. Second, as I was eating my food I found a metal piece in my taco. After finding that I was unable to eat the rest of my taco and had to throw it away. So that why I gave this place only three stars. It’s sad cause I really enjoy the taco before I had to throw it away.
