PSI Testing Center

First of all, it’s on a very busy street about 3 minutes from the 10 freeway, I pulled up and had plenty of parking job the back. My test was at 9 but said to be there by 830 am to get things started, you get in and it’s a little office on the first left hand side. It was 3 young women at the time very professional and nice, reminding you that you can’t take your phone in with you or wallet or even tissues. At this point they gave you a locker to put your possessions in and secure it, another young woman reads you the way they test and your bathroom break which could be only 5 minutes or else you will done automatically with your test. And this woman comes in and has a scarf attached to her shirt and you literally can’t wear anything of the sort, so they were asking her to remove it or cut it. I was like ok who wears a scarf in 90degree weather lol. The girl showed me to my testing seat and they give you ear plugs or headphones, I was done with my test a little over an hour. And PASSED!!! And they print out a paper and that’s that.

I came here to take my licensing exam.
Staff is professional and courteous. I was aware of the rules of the facility prior to entering since it’s outlined in my PSI bulletin that I received when I was approved for my test.
They do provide headphones and ear plugs to prevent noise distractions.
To make your life a little easier, I suggest wearing clothes without pockets so you don’t have to prove to them they’re empty.

I’ve just came back from taking the CSE at this location this morning.
I went inside the suite with no lines at 8:40 in the morning, saw a bunch of people sitted in the 2 rows of chairs. After about 1 minute, a skinny girl with glasses greeted me and brought me over to the locker. Asked me to turn off the cell phone, show her that all my pockets are empty, took my ID and told me to sit down. She did not tell me that I can’t go to the restroom without notifying the staff. While sitting down, since there is about 6 – 7 people there ahead of me, I thought that it would be a good idea to go to the restroom before they check me in. I saw the restroom keys on the wall next to the doorway with a big key chain with symbol of woman’s restroom, I got up, took the key and went to the restroom. No one stopped me, and when I came back, the shorter chubbier lady with black hair was showing someone else to the locker, and I waited until she’s done with him to return the keys since they were blocking the hooks for the keys. The lady with black hair then told me in a loud voice that I’ve just violated the rules of the exam, everyone looked at me, I’m embarressed and confused. I didn’t know that once I entered their suite, even though I wasn’t checked in yet, that I can’t go to the restroom without telling them because apprently they have to open the door for me. She then told me to sit down and wait, she went inside the other room with doors open call somewhere and told them that I have voilated the rules that I didn’t even know existed. Her voice was loud, her room door’s open, and she made it seem like I’m trying to cheat. Then the call ended, and the guy sitting at the computer checked me in after he was done with everyone else. After he took my thumb prints and other procedures, he told me to go in front of the skinny girl again, she made me show her that I have nothing inside my pockets and showed me inside the testing room. The CSE is a 2 part test, because I went to the restroom, I got an extra set of questions. What happened was they took the lower scoring set and have also score me based on a higher standard. Not to mention that the entire time of the exam I couldn’t stop thinking about how embarressed I was with the whole thing. In the end, I had fail the exam, with a score that is higher than the regular passing score. I’m extremely pissed and upset about this. Their staff had failed to tell me the rules that they have, and I have fail the exam because of the high passing threshold. This is so not my fault, and yet now I have the pay the price of the 180 day waiting period to test again and get to pay the exam fee again. Nice work PSI! I hope that your unprofessional staff gets their karma for doing such a bad job. I’m going to send a letter of complain to PSI, but what sucks is, that’s not going to do anything. I’m still stuck with the 180 day penalty and extra cost of taking exam again.

Staff here is very professional and accommodations are good.
Took my mft exam here. Solid location. Plenty of parking in the lot.
You get a locker for your personal items, and there is also an area to put your food/​water. They provide headphones and ear plugs for the noise.

I took my CA Pharmacist Jurisprudence exam here. Although I was scared out of my mind, the staff’s friendly attitude and professionalism calmed my nerves. They have lockers for you to keep your stuff, earplugs and headphones to block out noise, and an area where you can keep drinks outside of the room in case you get dehydrated. Sweaters with pockets not allowed inside, so if you get cold easily, wear a long sleeved shirt.
Make sure your ID and your SS card match EXACTLY. They check them very carefully. Good luck!

I took my life insurance state exam here – and passed! Great facility, plenty of parking, and close to home. What else to ask for?

I just took the medical interpreting at this location. They are very professional. I was told that it was not a good idea to go to El Monte location to take my exam, but I recommend this location.
