This wasn’t bad. I went out on a limb trying it because I wasn’t comfortable with the way it looked but I’m glad I did. It was pretty good, the only concern I had is price. The prices are vary pricy for what it is.

I thought this would be a cheap taco place, but I ended up spending $ 20 on food that was mediocre at best. The limonada drink was so sour and I could only take a few sips. I asked for chips for my beans and brought out more beans and charged me an extra 3 dollars when all I wanted was a few chips for my beans. The restaurant ruined my experience at the bike event in El Monte.

I’ve been here several times since I first discovered this amazing little restaurant. The owners are warm and welcoming and their food is so good. I’ve only ordered the fish tacos but I’m sure their other foods are just as tasty. Their fish tacos are the best in town! Seriously do yourself a favor and order some fish tacos. I look forward to eating here, I’m never disappointed. Trust me you won’t be either. Bön appétit!

Great deals on tacos! The staff is really nice and helpful and the food is delicious, but a little on the greasy side. Let me just say that I use to hate fish tacos till I tried this place. They occasionally give complimentary chips with your order.

I’m not giving this taco shop 3 Stars because of the food because the tacos of asada and al pastor were delicious. The salsa de aguacate was spicy and flavorful. The 3 stars was for the cleanliness, the tables and kitchen were clean but it was floors that were dirty. But excellent tacos! I’ll be coming back

I have always wanted to go here. I always see it when I’m on the bus. The big old cocido sign in the window and the Tacos on sale on Wed. I went on a Monday night and had the de res caldo and it was delicious.

I don’t quite think the reviews touch upon what a great restaurant this place is. It isn’t a exquisite Mexican food place, but as a cheap Mexican fast food place, its quite good. Though as a whole I can’t give it a 4 stars simply due to certain facility issues. Food: I think the Carne Asada tacos are fantastic, order them with everything on them and they’re tasty, well cooked and far better than most corner taco shops. The Fish Tacos are kinda of a hit and miss, certain days the cook will make them amazing, but other times, its not very good. The inconsistency can be a turn off for the food, but when you ask the cook to make everything fresh, it usually ends up being perfect. Service: The staff is very friendly and very willing to meet any reasonable demands you may have, I once took a group of friends who kept wanting to eat tortilla chips and they were continually willing to make batch after batch for FREE. They also are very open to custom and fresh orders, which I think makes it top notch as going the extra mile to serve the exact food I wanted is always great. Facilities: Now here is where it gets a sharp decline, though the place itself isn’t bad, its small sized and there is no major AC system. This can make it a huge pain during hot summers to eat cause its almost like 95 degrees sometimes. But this is really the only major complain, its usually kept very clean and the place has good tables and seats. Overall though its not perfect, its a hole in the wall food place that has great Carne Asada tacos and great service. Its definitely worth checking out and if you live in the area, you should absolutely come on Sundays for $.50 tacos and $ 1 tacos on Friday.

Been going here for years. I always get good food and good service for my money. 99 cent fish tacos on Friday and street style tacos on Sunday!

Utterly disgusting food. Tried the«famous» Fish tacos which tasted like old deep fried oil. Vanderkamp would have been tastier than the breaded fish that was served here The Carne Asada and Al pastor where ok not something to salivate over. But my daughter and I got food poisoning from the Fish Tacos and it has to be due to old oil being used.

Nice staff, but below average food. Crunchy chicken taco– I couldn’t even chew the taco shell. The meat was bland and fatty. Fish taco– The sauce was pretty good. Mostly batter. Tiny piece of not very fresh fish.

The worse place you can ever eat!!! I regret eating lunch!!! im normally not a person that would really go out of my way to say anything negative, but this place really sucks!!! the people that wrote somthing good about this business must be related to the owner of the business, it seams like when I mother has ugly kids and she see them beautiful that’s the way I see the anybody that rights somthing good about this place!!! i try not to give this place no stars but it made put somthing

i seen the big menu they have so i said il just get the basic.2 sopes and a rasberry tea. it was some what fast they gave me a wrong tea just plane, looks like powder tea not the machine tea, he probably made it without asking, any way sopes were white corn masa, not well cooked, yellow corn tasted better and u have a crisp taste looks like pre cook food and the cheese taste like a fridge. will not come here untill the have fresh food.

So what do you do after an away water polo game? Eat! I went here with my wife and daughter on a Sunday and we agree that these are without a doubt the best tacos we’ve had in years. To get a better feel for what they have, we ordered the al pastor, carnitas, asada and fish tacos. Three exceeded our expectations, the fish… eh, not so much. Too much batter. I’m a stickler for flavor on the meat, and aside from the fish, their meat is 100% perfect on flavor and not laden with chunks of rubbery fat like other places. The rest of the stuff on their menu we can care less about, we’re only here for the tacos. Show up on Sundays for .50¢ tacos. Keep in mind that these are the small 4″ street style tacos but they are so worth every penny, but bring cash, no cards accepted. We live about an hour away and liked this place so much that we’ll definitely be going here again soon. Based on what I ordered, definitely 5 star worthy and worth the hour drive.

This is one of those places that a LARGE billboard style menu is not enough that they also must have hand made poster board signs posted all over the place and the one that caught my eye was«ENSENADA style Fish Tacos» so that’s what I’ll have… Ensenada style Fish Tacos? -
Mmmm they look good, I ate some of the cabbage, sauce & salsa that had fallen on the plate and it was very good, THEN… I took a bite and their was NOCRUNCH just mushy what the hell, I clear off all the toppings with a fork
and the fish is UNDERCOOKED not even the batter is fully cooked, this is gross I tossed it in the trash and left and I shall never return. I should have torn down the Ensenada style fish tacos sign and put it in the trash with my tacos, El Arco you are a disgrace.

:(— that’s the emoticon I drew on my receipt. Fish taco $ 1.35 Shrimp taco $ 1.85 I ordered the two tacos and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Then I realized the people behind me in line were eating their food. Wait a minute here! The counter lady realized they forgot my food and they quickly made my tacos. Now, the group wasn’t too fond of these tacos. We had some pretty decent fish tacos earlier and this one was borderline. I have to say though I did get quite a bit of fish and a large chunk of battered shrimp. I think this is to make up for the wait. My tacos weren’t as brown as the others either. But I felt my food was bitter. The crema was tangy but only emphasized how awful the tacos were. I would come back here to try other things on the menu. They have a lot of mariscos items and nothing was over $ 10. However, I really don’t see myself returning for tacos.

Crawl Stop #4 As this is a fish taco crawl the review is for the fish tacos only. Yes I skipped # 3 because Chanos was closed. I think Ivan said it best when he compared the fish taco batter to Pioneer Chicken breading. It had that spicy flavor to it with just a nice seasoning. The problem was the taco was small and the fish was just not good or fresh tasting. I can’t say it was inedible but it was not great. 2.5 stars
