BLDG6 is one of a few places in El Paso where you can get real specialty coffee. They roast in-house and sell their coffee to other local shops, but don’t bother buying it from anywhere but the source. Their baristas are well-trained at espresso-based drinks, latte art, and pour-over — which they offer from their v60. Usually they have 6 – 10 roasts available for purchase in whole-bean or ground form, in 16oz, 12oz, or 8oz bags. A great place to buy coffee if you like to brew at home. The only thing that stinks is their location!

Delicious coffee! Plus the toast with apricot preserves is so yummy. I love the environment it’s looks very unique and industrial. If you love strong coffee this will quickly become a favorite.

So this is one of my favorite coffee places is in town. I come here to get fresh roasted coffee. Since I have an espresso machine that’s what I usually go for. I love the aroma in this place. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. The service is always good and the staff is very knowledgable on their coffee. The latte art is well presentable and great price for such a great product. Come visit them and grab a few bags of coffee for you and your friends.

This place was really cool! It was the bare essentials but with swag. They roast in-house and the coffee was great. I was disappointed that they were out of cold brew. I settled for an iced almond latte. Wow! The espresso was great, not bitter but a distinct coffee flavor and the hint of almond was perfect. Not too sweet and not just a cup of milk and week espresso. Definitely worth a shot whenever in El Paso.

One of the best local coffee places I have been to. Love the atmosphere and vibe inside. The place is clean and well organized. Reasonable price.

Clean, simple and delicious. The shop smells amazing and the service is great– very friendly and inviting! I got the egg nog latte and my baby sister got the Americano and it was good! Bold, rich and smooth and the coffee is ground fresh daily! I would absolutely come back again!!! Way better than the main stream coffee shops!

Best coffee I have had in a long time not made at home. Smooth, dark and rich. I also had a wonderful almond milk latte that was delicious. I wish they had more comfy seating, but since I brought work to do it worked out. When you walk through the doors you will be hooked by the gorgeous coffee smell alone!

I’ve been to every coffee place in El Paso, and Bldg 6 serves THE best coffee. If you enjoy well curated pour over, espresso, or lattes, with freshly ground coffee, this is the place for you.

Specialty coffee in El Paso… you’re joking, right? No. True story bro! Any coffee shop recognizing a G&B Coffee/GGET(Go Get Em Tiger) snapback cap immediately earns my respect. That’s exactly what happened while visiting Bldg 6 Coffee Roasters. Ray was working bar and took our order, then quickly told me he liked my G&B ‘COFFEE’ cap. He said he saw it on Instagram and was surprised to actually see it in person. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought a little third wave shop in the middle of nowhere would identify my cap! But the blessing of seeing a customer who is actually serious about coffee can rattle a barista’s nerves. I could tell Ray was geeking out actually getting to talk with someone who KNOWS coffee but when it came time to cupping my ‘One and One’(Split Shot Espresso served as single espresso and a single macchiato) Ray’s hands were noticeably quivering, which became ever more apparent while pouring milk into my single macchiato. Nerves or not, in all honesty, Ray did an amazing job slinging his spro. What you must know about Bldg 6 Coffee Roasters: — Yes, they are a third wave, specialty coffee shop — Yes, they small batch roast their espresso and coffee beans — Due to coffee palates of locals, they have to resort to darker roasting techniques One and One: 4.5÷5 Since I’m being honest, you must know something. I nearly passed on ordering spro. Why? Right when we entered, my eyes zeroed in on their hopper and my heart sank! I was really discouraged noticing just how dark their beans were in hopper. Essentially, I was anticipating Starbucks flavor notes(translated as no flavor notes other than tasting char/burnt). Much to my surprise, their espresso was more than palatable! The single spro was balanced, smooth and intentionally bright. Equally so was the single shot that served as the canvas for my macchiato. This tells me that Ray pulled an even shot. Despite the fact that Bldg 6’s espresso is roasted to satisfy the indistinguishable palate of Starbucks drinkers, their darker approach to third wave coffee is well executed. It’s a crying shame that locals have no clue about how they can expand their coffee horizons by drinking coffee and espresso that’s lighter roasted. Bldg 6 Coffee Roasters is ready and willing to educate and introduce El Paso coffee drinkers to a heightened coffee & espresso experience… if customers are willing to have an open mind and see beyond classic roasting techniques.

I know that they pull espresso here, if you want EXPRESSO they probably have it at Charbucks in high volume individual cups!!! Our barista Ray recognized that we knew coffee as he recognized Roland L’s G&B cap which kinda made him a bit nervous. I ordered ESPRESSO, if you want to know the quality of the beans and the ability of a barista, you need to order ‘Spro. Ordering triple vente extra pump fraps masks the true quality of the coffee bean! Also, espresso is always served with double shots and let me educate you on that a bit as well, espresso has less caffeine than drip coffee. The darker the roast, the less caffeine. The lighter the roast, the more caffeine. Got it now? The espresso was on the traditional side, meaning that the roast is more of a darker roast. Not really my favorite, however, Ray did a great pull as my espresso was very smooth, no filmy after taste on my palette and not acidic. We were very surprised to find that El Paso has a quality indie coffee roaster pulling delicious espresso. This is really a great gem if you want quality ‘spro!

The coffee is always delicious, and the toast with a little jam makes the perfect breakfast or snack. It’s a little out of the way location wise but well worth the extra 5 minutes.

In high school I used to loooove going to Kristophs, especially since it was the only local place on the Eastside. After it closed I had to go back to drinking starbucks, until a few years ago this gem opened! By far, the best coffee in El Paso. I go almost everyday, and the service is always friendly and great. They are knowledgable in what they do, and are excellent at answering questions. Their Guatemala roast is great, along with their Mexico blend. I usually just buy the beans to make at home and order lattes, or cold brew when I’m on the go. I hope this place stays around, it deserves more attention!(And better hours so I can go at all times of the day to feed my addiction!!)

Yes this place does have great coffee. But I have been there at 7am(their opening hour) 3 times already and they are not open. This is disappointing because I have a schedule to keep. And they are not 5 mins late, I’m talking about 30 mins late. I’m sad because their coffee is delicious, but punctuality is bad.

So whenever I travel to the El Paso area on an early Monday morning flight, this is ALWAYS my first stop. So glad to have found this months ago. I love the taste of their latte and the way their beans are roasted is delicious. Anything other than Starbucks is worth a try for me as I like supporting the small, local business owners. I usually run in and out for a latte, but this morning decided to try the toast… An even extra bonus! Wasn’t looking for any big pastries, so this slice of locally baked bread for toast with butter and apricot jelly hit the spot! Try it next time… the other option is to have the toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar…

Move over Charbucks! Bldg 6 is in town comin out guns a blazing! What a slick, clean, proudly executed coffee shop AND coffee roaster(Not a «bring it in from a factory and dole it out en masse»). I stumbled upon this stop and will be back often. Part modern coffee bar, part chemistry lab, Bldg 6 offers some of the most special tasting coffee I’ve tasted. I can not even focus on my webinar I am supposed to be on because I am transfixed by the old fashioned, all steel roasting engines that are open to be viewed — much like a chef’s display kitchen. This place is spotless, which makes for comfortable hanging out. The coffee is an absolute delight. An Americano in a MUG is $ 3. Better than $ 3.50 for a cardboard cup and landfll — filling plastic lids. Very nice place. Jim

This little coffee shop is quickly becoming apart of my Saturday routine. Dare i say that i like it better than SBs coffee. I really like the taste of their coffee and due to the strength of the coffee there is no need for several different sizes. 12 ounces suffices. The only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is because of the hours of operations. 9 – 5 is not convient for me during the week since I dont work on the Eastside. All and all I recommend this off the beaten path coffee shop

The Good: Cool vibe, good music, they roast their own coffee, which is fairly good, and it’s local! The Bad: Only one person was working here when I visited and it took about 10 minutes just for me to receive a mocha. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re in a rush. Also, they didn’t open until 9am! Overall: This is a cool place to hang, but if you’re just looking to get in and out, maybe try somewhere else.

This place is truly a hidden GEM! I had the mocha, it was very dark chocolate flavor, very good but only if you enjoy the bitterness of dark chocolate(I do). My husband got a cappuccino with added caramel and it was amazing! I loved the toast and organic apricot jam they are now offering to go with your coffee. The atmosphere is nice to sip your coffee(in a real mug!) with nice conversation with staff, a friend or significant other. :) ENJOYGREATCOFFEE!

The only place for real craft coffee in El Paso. Loved seeing great espresso with free pour latte art. The prices may be a bit high, but the ingredients are of a super high level and to be out here in the desert things are expensive to get shipped. If you’re a fan of blue bottle, stumptown, intelligentsia, et all — this is your spot. Strada la marzocco machine, mazzer grinders, all the real stuff. Show some support!
