Whenever we come here for lunch or dinner, I get the tortilla soup. Fills me up! Tacos are great here too. The theme is a beach, surfer, Hispanic feel. Idk, but I missed the beach. Their sitting arrangements range from tables and chairs, booths, and bar. They also have the booth like tables in a half moon shape and I think what it was, was a pole. Yes, I typed in pole. Lol. Cause I saw a couple of people dancing and holding onto that thing at night after a couple of drinks. Lol. I like coming here for happy hour. Not sure why but on one particular night, I was told they stopped serving food and just alcoholic beverages. I understood, but the happy hour menu had fries and nachos, which the couple had ordered across from me. I didn’t say anything b/c my friend wanted to head out already. I guess I was misunderstood. Their drinks are awesome too. Bartenders are attentive ans always check in. Btw, if you want to get served during this time, you have to go up to the bar. Otherwise you’ll sit down and no waitresses will come by. I was told that by another customer, since she saw sitting down waiting for a bit. Lol. Well, fail.

I was really impressed by the food tonight. It had been many months since I last been here bc the food quality went down. Everything tasted really good tonight, though: garlic parmesan boneless wings, french fries w spicy ketchup and elotes

I didn’t really care for this place but the fish tacos were pretty decent. The salsa is a joke and the beer selection isn’t actually for real beer drinkers. I don’t mind the wanna be hooters feel… but you need to do something well and I’m not sure they do. Our server was great, so I tipped accordingly. The margarita on the rocks was nasty… my friend tried the frozen and said it was better. I guess if you are going to watch a game and want shitty beer this will work fine.

Have been there a few times it has been worse every time. The last time I was straight ignored most of the night while sitting at the bar. Two of the bartenders would look at my empty glass and walk away.

Cons: Mediocre experience. I’m from Houston so I’m spoiled with some of the best food in the world. The steak tacos were terrible. I rarely write that about food because I love food, but they were bad. The steak was dry and the flavor was mediocre. The tacos were tiny but on the plus side, the flour tortillas were delicious(by far the best part of the steak tacos). Also, the tacos were nothing more than meat and onions. Weakest tacos ever. As far as value is concerned, you don’t get what you pay for(on the steak tacos at least). Pros: the place was nice, the ambiance was nice, the waitresses were generally good-looking, TVs everywhere. Overall a cool hangout spot. The corn«elote en baso» was really good.

This place is ok. If you are in to the sports bar scene you will have no problem. To be honest I am not too fond of the theme of these type of places. They usually start you with a basket of tostadas before they take your order. I ordered the Hambino, which includes ham, bacon, cabbage, carnitas, and cheese. I thought that burger was a little messy but it was pretty good. The side of fries were not that great. They put way too much seasoning on them and they taste too salty and have too much of a lime flavor. I did order a lime-arita which was the highlight of my visit. The noise level of the place was pretty loud. In, conclusion the place is ok but I have had better.

Have always loved cabo joes. But this new location has some horrible staff. I just came in to make a to go order and the girls were only worried about having a side bar conversation and did not even pay attention to what I wanted to order! I didn’t even finish my order before the girl walked away. Completely rude and I hate to say that I am very disappointed in the new staff. If they had customer service as good as the food, cabo joes would be perfect to eat at all the time how I used to. Don’t believe I will be coming back to this new location any longer. Didn’t even get my military discount much less anything taken off for how rude these girls are. Sheesh! Way to go cabo joes…

GREAT place to catch a Cowboys game and get a beer, but the food sucks. The Ribeye Tacos were flavorless and expensive.

The food was very good and the drinks were awesome! However the service was crapy! When I go anywhere i expect at least a hello welcome etc… with a smile not smelling shit. The wife and I really like this place but they need to give these girls a class in classic service because after all that’s what it’s all about service!

I liked their old location Sioux St. The ambiance there was great! They closed it and moved to this old Fudruckers. I REALLY don’t like this place! The waitress(when we could find her) knew nothing about the beers on tap or food. The food came and it was bad. I will not go back here. The décor was nice, but still looked a lot like they had just taken over another restaurant.

The 1st time I went to Cabo Joe’s I thought Wow this place is amazing, so we planned a birthday celebration for my husband and also to watch the Niner game. Upon closing my tab I realized they overcharged me and my friends tabs. They wanted me to believe my husband drank more than 25 beers and 3 shots of Patron yet he was still standing and talking to me. Please people if you visit this bar keep track of your drinks or they will ROB you blind. I know we were. We will probably never return and if by some miracle we have to we’ll pay cash and after every drink just to be safe and not get screwed. They could have at least given us some K-Y

Cabo Joe’s is Sports Heaven! If you are looking for a place where scantily-clad women bring you food and beer while you watch the games, but you want to keep your money in El Paso, this is a great place to visit. The first thing I noticed and loved about Cabo Joe’s was either the hostess’ bikini top or the fact that the place is absolutely plastered with big Televisions, I don’t remember which. They took a cue from TP and put a row of big screens above the bar, totes awesome! The food is good, they offer the standard sports grill items as well as some beach-inspired Mexican and Tex-Mex. I really like the Cubano sandwich and recommend it if you are looking for a relatively light sports meal. I like ordering Green Chile rice as my side, they have a tasty recipe. The menu is the same as the other locations. The service is good, considering how busy the place is, fast and friendly, and the girls are pretty good looking, that never hurts. Parking is ample, but gets very full. PROTIP: Don’t exit Yarbrough to get here, there’s very little room from the exit, especially during heavy traffic, exit McRae instead and drive a couple of blocks on Gateway.
