Disgusting place. Went to go eat there. Going for my second plate saw a roach walking around the food. One of the ladies working there saw it as well, killed it and advised us to speak to management to get our money back. Haven’t ate Chinese anywhere else since then.

Place is mediocre. I went here because the super nice hibachi place was packed. Had some off the wall chicken and rice blend I don’t think exists anywhere but here. Thank god it’s Christmas so I can ask for a new toilet. I couldn’t get to my bathroom quick enough after this place. I don’t think I’ll come back here but if I do I’ll make sure to bring some baby wipes in the trunk.

The food was mediocre at best, even the water tastes bad. Not a good selection either. I was embarrassed to be eating here. This place needs a serious cleaning. I left very unsatisfied with my meal. I will never waste my money here again.

For the most part pretty good but, not sure if I’d ever want to go back. Utensils and cups were dirty, and some of the food was pretty much destroyed by kids trying to serve themselves(parents should help). But nice atmosphere, pretty dated but not bad.

I LOVECHINESEFOOD! I’m from San Diego CA and I really liked the food, very unique place. The waiter was nice and very hospitable. We found this place on our way back to California, hard to miss because of the BIG sign. If I ever come back to Texas I’m defiantly coming back here :)

Uh no! I had to reset my Unilocal password to write about this. You know you want quality when you go to places like this. I was not pleased with the beef and broccoli that was more like rubber and wood chips. Now I usually don’t say mean things but it was all that I had not to after seeing a banner(a big banner) in there that said top 100 something or another(I was sold due to the banner being a banner a big banner at that and here’s the definition so y’all won’t think I’m being unreasonable c: an ensign displaying a distinctive or symbolic device or legend; especially: one presented as an award of honor or distinction Now read the part that says award of honor or distinction again I said read it AGAIN! Lol so I was expecting some top beef and broccoli man was I sad :/Smh welp Unilocal that is all I have to say on that may you all have wonderful mornings, noons, evenings, nights, days etc. etc.

Struggled with giving it a 4 star or 3 star. It’s in El Paso. Who knew El Paso had enough people that like Chinese food to have a buffet. I sure as heck didn’t. Came across it by accident while looking for a Chik-Fil-A. The CFA is apparently gone(son of a …) so we stopped here. Who doesn’t love Chinese buffet? You have to pay BEFORE you eat which is kind of odd. Maybe they have a ton of people trying to run out on them or hate the food and don’t want to pay, who knows. They even have a tip line on it! uhhhhh tip for food I have to get AND I haven’t even sat down yet. Oh well, walk in, place is huge. HUGE. Could fit 300 people easy. Lots of food too. Every kind of Chinese food dish you can think of and then some it seems. Even had some sushi I think, had some crab legs, American staples, salet bar, etc. One thing I was dissapointed with was no ice cream bar. Come on maaaan. Food was actually edible, even the crab legs. We stuffed ourselves and were on our way. The staff was quick and helpful, so we did wind up leaving a tip. I will say, get there early. As you can imagine, the later times are the food that’s been out there, so not as fresh or as good as it probably would have been had we been there an hour earlier. I say try it, what the heck.

This is an inexpensive buffet with a large variety considering the price. It was 750 for adults and 350 for children 3 – 10?(i think, not sure about age) Its a very large restaurant and was quite busy when we visited around 1pm. It had some really cool chinese decorations around the restaurant and an awesome bridge inside that had fish underneath. My daughter loved that, shes obsessed with fishes.(shes only a year and half) Our waiter was friendly and attentive. he cleared our plates often and I was surprised for a chinse buffet they had horchata and other mexican drinks. I guess I shouldnt be too surprised since the clientel is mostly hispanic people. I’m also not surprised that its so busy because there are not many chinese places in el paso. Getting to the food, there was a good amount of chinese food but more hispanic and american food too. Weird? yes! I didnt expect that large a variety. I never expected enchiladas, tres leche, flan, and stuff like that at a chinese buffet. it was cool and good though. There was a nice big variety of fruit salads and regular salads. I ate the chicken wings, they were really hot. The fries were cold and hard. You could tell they had been sitting under the heater a while. The stuffed jalapenos were my favorite. The cream cheese was mouthwatering, the chile was spicy and the breading was crisp and fried to perfection. Next, I tried the chinese green beans. they were good but you could tell it wasnt authentic green beans that youd normally get at a chinese restaurant. They were still good though, dont get me wrong. The fried chicken was over done, after one bite i didnt eat anymore. Orange chicken was good but missed the kick on chinese flavor. It was good but not good enough for another trip for more. The tres leche was to die for. And i usually hate it. It had this red strawberry sauce on top that really made a difference. it wasnt too watery which i usually hate if it is. I even went back for seconds! I then ate a rino sized amount of salad because it tasted so fresh. Wasnt a huge fan of the ranch. it def tasted bottled and I like only homemade ranch. Yes, I’m spoiled. The crab wontons were just okay. Took one bite and they fell apart. I don’t know where the crab was hiding because it tasted like pure cream cheese inside. The woman told me for dinner its the same items except you can get steak at dinner. Not too bad. Dinner is 13 bucks. I’ve had way better chinese food at a buffet but this place will do for a buffet in el paso.

I went here during a bus trip from LA to NM and this was one of the stops for dinner. Possibly one of the best Chinese buffets I’ve been to and I don’t usually like buffets. And it’s states away from me. =/ The one thing I remember the most about this place was the crabs. They actually had meat in them. And the food wasn’t as bad as some of the other buffets I went to on this trip. If I pass by El Paso again, I’ll have to come here.

I hadn’t been to HKB in years and was excited to come back, I’m surprised it has been around this long! IMO the food quality has taken a dive, I’m hoping it is only because I went on a Wednesday night that the food wasn’t up to par. Can’t complain about the variety, there’s tons of dishes to choose from, I really like the beef dishes as the meat is always tender(broccoli beef, et al). One of my favorite things about this place is that they have some dim sum items, however they don’t seem to refill them as often as other entrees. They also have great desserts, my favorite is this flan type coffee-almond flavored thing, I call it Chinese Flan. I’m still not sure if its a good deal for dinner at $ 13, but it is for lunch at $ 7(mostly because the items are the same).

This is a typical Chinese buffet restaurant. It has nothing fancy. But if you want a quick, inexpensive meal with variety. This is the choice.
