First of all, the atmosphere is very dirty which makes me very uncomfortable the whole time I’m eating. The service is also very slow and there is only one lady serving the whole restaurant. I give it two stars because the food was okay, but it wasn’t the best and I’ve definitely tried better.

a coworker took me after work. I can honestly say its very authentic. Its a small mom and pop style place. There is only once server(im assuming one of the owners), who gets to know her customers. i noticed every person who came in she seemed to know and chat with, all while remaining attentive to all her tables. you get a TON of different small kimchi and sides with any entrée you order. which is really fun to try and nice to change up your taste. the portion sizes are really good for the price. If you are looking for an upscale experience — this isn’t for you. If you are just looking for good food at a good price — this is for you.

This was our first time in Kalbe House and just had sweet and sour chicken, beef bulgogi and mackerel. Mackerel and bulgogi were both tasty, but we didn’t care for sweet and sour!

So this is the deal: the food is absolutely delicious(mainly the short ribs) but don’t expect five star service. Most times my family comes in, there are two or three workers total — one chef and one or two waitresses. The waitresses are always busy since they attend to every customer and can come of as a bit speedy and rash. Yet never have their short ribs or any other food disappointed me. They bring out the short ribs sizzling and they always leave me coming back. Overall, amazing food and very timely service if you’re okay with your table being turned quickly.

Kalbi House is my favorite Korean restaurant in El Paso!!! I am Korean and I approve!!! I’ve been to other korean restaurants in El Paso and they all disappointed me since their foods were overly Americanized, greasy and just WRONG! However, Kalbi House Restaurant is different! You can taste authentic, homemade Korean food here. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

I came here for the first time and tried their lunch special today. It was okay. Even though they advertise their«$ 7 lunch special», I ended up paying $ 17 for two lunch… I think it’s expensive for the quality of the meal. The stuff wasn’t really nice too. I get it. They were busy with many customers during their lunch hours but I did not go in there to get yelled at… This place is near the base so it gets pretty packed during the lunch time. We could barely park. If you’re planning to get your food to-go, I’d recommend you to give them a call at least 30 min before going there.

Ordered a meal to go. I would say this is one of the worst Korean bbq I had. My husband and I both tried their daeji bulgogi(spicy pork) and bulgogi but it was very dry! The quality of the meat wasn’t great either. Felt as if they just reheated the meat. Their ban chan or side dishes was alright and we’re given a very generous amount. They don’t have spicy cucumbers as a side dish either. The only thing we would come back here for is the chap chae. The chap chae was cooked pretty spot on, noodles were cooked nice and evenly. It was flavorful. For those of you who like dukbokki, they don’t sell it here. You’d have to go to the Asian market and sushi bar for that. Other than that, there are better Korean restaurants to go to here in El Paso.

Maybe I’m biased because I’m from LA but this is the worst Korean restaurant I have ever been to. Like the only reason I’m still eating it right now is because I’m really hungry. Don’t come here.

Okay, food was great, we ate on an empty stomach… But now we have major MSG poisoning. No wonder we couldn’t stop eating… big sign. Headache, extreme thirst, tummy ache, dizzy and just not feeling well. Be aware, this place was too good to be true. The lady owner was nice, but maybe it was to cover up all that MSG they use, and putting back all the mini side dishes that were leftover by customers back into the same big container and re-served again as mentioned by a previous reviewer.

Okay place for Korean. Ordered bibimbap … It’s was okay. Nice variety of sides… everything seemed to taste either too salty or too vinegary. Enough to curb my Korean food craving though.

When I got there the lady was really nice. At first I looked at the menu and it seamed a little pricey. But then I didn’t know what I order so the lady helped me out on what to get. So I got the regular order of Ribs and it comes with 12 sides and white rice and for $ 15.25 it wasn’t a bad deal. Even though it was packed she managed to go to every table and check how they were doing. This by far is the best Korean Restaurant In El Paso!

I like kalbi house because of the wide array of banchan. I usually order kalbi, kim bop, and a squid dish usually spicy. I enjoy the corn tea for my drink. Korean service is phenomenal!!! One of my favorite north east restaurants. Dear kalbi house please move to the west side, so I don’t have to drive so far.

This was my favorite place, until today when i watched the lady clear off the table next to ours and dump the little side dishes back into the main containers in the kitchen. WTF! After i confronted her about it, she said oh the other lady doesn’t know and went about her business. She should have went to the kitchen to dump the entire containers but they kept serving it… so i basically consumed EVERYBODYS saliva and germs from who know how long. Health Department was notified…

Authentic Korean flavors! From the BBQ meats to the side dishes, all the foods I had were amazing. The lunch specials are legit! Large Portions for low prices. Typical Korean service. They can come off rude or crass, but its the Korean sense of humor. They mean well and love to see their customers enjoy their meal. Must haves! — Kalbi — BBQ chicken — Hae Mul Pah Juhn — Seafood pancake. Pancake best describes it because of the breading and the round flat look to it. It does Not taste anything like breakfast pancakes. — KimChee Ji Gae(stew)

I Kal Bielive how good this place is. The lunch specials are a killer deal lots of food plus a huge assortment of side dishes banchan or some such is what they are called. El Paso is blessed to have a restaurant of this caliber in our midst for something like 15 dollars you can feed two people to the bursting point. That along with friendly staff smiles all around. If you’re ever in the neighborhood or have a longer lunch this is the place to go order the BBQ anything and you won’t be disappointed. They even throw in a random soup just because they love you, and you know what I love you too Kal Bi House you get the House Williams Stamp of forever approval.

Okay, it’s better than Seoul Restaurant down the street– I’ll admit that part. i had the bibimbop(mixed rice) and my sister had the squid dupbop(over rice). The vegetables and other ingredients in the bibimbop was pretty fresh and it tasted decent. The squid dupbop was average– the seasoning could have been better. The place looks pretty run-down, and it definitely needs some remodeling or something. Nothing spectacular about this restaurant. I’ve heard good things about their kalbi, hence their restaurant name. If you do insist on eating at a Korean restaurant, make sure you visit here rather than Seoul Restaurant. And splurge a little, and get the kalbi. Would I return? Probably not. How would I eat Korean food? I’d rather just cook it myself. El Paso, I will stick to other genre of food, and stay away from Korean restaurants.
