I can’t do less than 1 star? This place use to be my favorite fast food spot… I would literally come to the mall just to grab food and go back home. It went down hill since then. The staff is rude and hard to talk to. I had three small children with me asked for children’s meals and then were charged for full entrees which they obviously couldn’t finish, if the food would have been edible enough to eat. It was either soggy or cartilage absolutely terrible. Then I saw the cockroach as it walked across the floor. That’s when we walked out. Worst experience ever, we won’t be going back. Save yourself and just go anywhere else.

It pains me to write this review because I so want to not dislike something so bad, but this was the most regretful meal I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend to Ruby Thai Kitchen to anyone. It appears to be privately owned so I wish they would put more heart into this place(both the food and the environment) because I love eating at places that are local or family owned, but in this case not so much. While at the mall with my boyfriend we realized we were a little hungry so thought it would be nice to stop and grab something quick and easy. We weren’t feeling like McDonald’s or Subway and neither of us had every been to RTK so we gave it a go. Contrary to the name, Ruby Thai Kitchen doesn’t serve Thai food. That’s pretty disappointing. The food available is Americanized Chinese food. My boyfriend went with some plate or other, but almost every single one of their protein options were made with chicken… not so appealing to me that day(and after trying whatever my boyfriend got I’m glad I didn’t settle for any of them). The other options didn’t look that great to me so I figured I’d just get a couple of egg rolls. Unfortunately these were the worst egg rolls I’ve ever had. It tasted like ALL cabbage and the cabbage tasted old. The outside had been fried, but it wasn’t good and not really crisp either(maybe sitting around too long… maybe previously frozen and cooked at a low temperature). I added a ton of soy sauce and a spicy sauce that was available at the front which still wasn’t enough to make it appetizing. I ended up throwing away the majority. The inside of RTK is a little dingy. Tables are pretty close together and congested. They could’ve put in a little more work to open this place, nice tables, better lighting, wall decorations. There was just nothing appealing about this experience. Even the staff made me feel a little uneasy, like I was inconveniencing them in some way… like okay fine, I’ll make my own food, you go relax kind of way.

This place is called Thai Kitchen but they serve Chinese food. No Thai food what so ever here! It’s misleading to people who aren’t familiar with Thai cuisine. Thai food is delicious! This place is not!!!

Rude people. The Mall is full and no seats anywhere. We look all around. Found an open table and sit down. The lady from the back runs out and tells is that these seTs are for their customers only!!! Really in the middle if Christmas!!! How rude I will never eat here.

Ok, they have a new owner. The amount of food is smaller than before. The mango chicken and the noodles were so gross! I used to enjoy eating them. What a shame! Buh bye, Ruby Thai Kitchen.

Located in the food court of Cielo Vista Mall this was my only option outside of fast food American category. Coming down with the flu I needed soup and preferably spicy to wake me up. I decided to go with their SPICYBEEFNOODLESOUP. The serving was more than enough for one. Diced up shallots complimented the spicy soup. The extra bag full of crunches was a great topping. I’ve had better Thai and noodle soup elsewhere, but for the price and location this was a descent spot.
