Was looking for new optometrist for my family and wanted to schedule checkup appointments with the doctor. I was told that although they did accept my insurance, that I would need a referral FOR AN EYE CHECKUP from a primary care doctor. I wasn’t sure I heard her right, but receptionist insisted that I needed a referral for an eye appointment. I called my insurance company right away and they said they have NEVER heard of that and it is NOT the case. I don’t know what kind of game that was, but needless to say, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

My eye care at Southwest Eye Institute has been incredible. Dr. De la Torre has given me exceptional eye care!!! He is extremely professional, caring and compassionate. He really listens to concerns and questions you have. His staff and office operations are efficient. I highly recommend him. I am beyond pleased with my experience.

So far… all is well. The staff is very friendly. The appointment was kept on time. Dr. Candace Oto is very kind and patient. I highly recommend Southwest Eye Institute. They run a tight ship. The waiting area is comfortable, plenty of Quality magazines and a tv to keep u entertained while u wait. Restrooms were clean.
