$ 5 for lunch special is great. I really appreciated the fact they had the chili sauce already in the bag. The food is ready quickly, the place isn’t as attractive but what’s inside is what matters. The only thing that was a let down was that I asked for white meat and not all of it was chicken breast. The breading was also a bit hard and the rice was dry.

Hidden hole in the wall!!! These are my favs. Price was right $ 5.00 lunch special! Korean owners, super nice, and fast fast fast. In and out on my lunch hour. My chicken chow mien was a little in the sweet side but I doubt if others would complain. I am not a total Chinese food snob like my husband but I have had the most Ono-luscious Chinese food in Honolulu so I feel like I have a good base to compare. For El Paso… Good place to check out!

What can I say this place is awesome for your lunch time. It is a small café but worth the trip the food was hot and took no time at all to be severed the amount of food was just right you will not go away hungry that’s for sure and very clean you can tell these people take a great amount of pride in serving very friendly staff. Would get 5 stars but the place is small and will not hold large groups.

I’ve been coming here since they opened the place! This is absolutely my favorite Chinese place. I recommend the general chicken & beef and broccoli. You won’t be disappointed. Just like the other reviews have stated, yes it’s true about fast service. The only bad thing is that they are closed Saturday’s & Sunday’s. And they close early at 7 during the week. Sometimes even earlier if they don’t have any customers. I recommend going anytime before 3:30(lunch special)

Surprise, surprise! This hidden Chinese restaurant may in fact be my absolute favorite! With a name like Soya, I expected a Mexican restaurant(maybe I’m confusing Soya with Goya), but I assure you Soya Café is all about the Chinese food. Two very trustworthy Unilocalers, Mabel S. and JL W. really peaked my interest in SC with two 4-star reviews promising cheap, tasty meals. And then I was completely sold when The Amazing Charles Y. said this was part of his lunch ritual. Okay, I’m in. A couple of times a week Charles and I meet up for lunch and one lucky day we settled on SC. Yes, it’s a hole-in-the-wall. It was really easy to miss and it’s on that weird part of Airport Road that’s almost Montana. My GPS had me doing crazy Mission Impossible maneuvers just to get to the parking lot and once I crossed the parking lot/street barrier it said, «You’re on your own. Duces!» I just about missed SC, but it just so happened the only open parking spot in the entire lot was right in front of my destination. I walked in to a tiny extremely cold café(this was the day of the first«cold» of the year) with about ten or fifteen tables. Evenly spaced and not cramped, but still cozy. Nothing to really ooh an ahh about, no personal touches, just a place to sit and eat. Since I was tardy for the party our menus were already placed on the table. According to Charles, the staff is the exact same since his very first trip. Because of that, I suspect it’s family owned. Either way, our waitress was fast and polite. So reading the couple other reviews on here I thought, there can’t really be anything good under $ 5. Lo and behold, the ridiculously delicious $ 5 lunch menu exists! Seriously didn’t see anything over five buckaroos. That’s insane! And I’m not talking about crappy dishes that you don’t want. They had all of my favorite Chinese food favorites on the lunch menu. And even the holy grail of Chinese food(in my opinion)… Mongolian beef! The Mongolian beef was dangerously good and came in a true lunch portion(although if you’re still hungry you can always double up ’cause it’s only $ 5). Just spicy enough with a few red chilis mixed in, the perfect amount of veggies, and the fried deliciousness that is the Mongolian beef. The white rice that I had along with my meal was also perfectly cooked… none of that it’s-been-sitting-in-a-rice-cooker-since-yeseterday crap. I have finally found my favorite Eastside Chinese eatery! Oh, and one thing we did notice… they seem to always be ready for a rush. They keep glasses filled with ice in the freezer so they’re ready to go. Oh and also, it’s a Chinese restaurant in El Paso, expect soda from a can.

This place is a hidden secret of mine for lunch. The lunch menu has 25 Chinese choices to choose from at only $ 4.99 a plate. Service is always fast and friendly. I have been coming to this little hole in the wall for 5 years and the same waitresses are still here! Need a quality but economical lunch, this is it.

Ate here based on Unilocal reviews. Walked in at 640pm and was told they were closing at 7pm.(Sign in window says it closes at 9pm). Because they were closing, no fried rice was available. Fried wontons were OK, but filling was skimpy and orange chicken was gristly/chewy. Soda sold by the can for a dollar each. Overall, I was hoping for better quality…

Hidden gem of great cheap Chinese lunch specials. Almost hate to let you in on it, because some days it fills up… mostly with guys with their names on their shirts from nearby businesses or Ft Bliss. We go almost once every week, and I’m driving from downtown, all the way to Airport Road, and it still only takes an hour. This is in part because they put our order in the minute they see us walk in. It’s that kind of place. And they know we always get the one vegan option on their $ 3.99 — $ 4.99 lunch special, and that’s the tofu with vegetables at $ 4.99. Some days I wish I had the willpower to stop eating halfway and box it up, but instead I slather it with sriracha(always on the table) and devour every bit. It’s fresh, consistent and come-as-you-are: just a little bitty dive that no one would ever notice unless they had cheap-Chinese radar and were unafraid to try someplace that looks a little scary from outside. I’ve never run into anyone I know there, but I’ll be looking for you all now, and if I can’t get a table, I’ll be mad at you — but happy for the hardworking folks that run this tight little ship. Check it out.

My co-workers and I go out for lunch every Friday; best day of the week. This Friday we had to grab food quickly to be back for a meeting, but Soya Café kept this from being a problem. We arrived around 12 noon and we were sated and out the door by 12:30PM! Such quick service for a sit down place, it’s incredible. Their lunch specials are the perfect size(and you can easily add an egg roll or soup if you’re an eater). Most of the lunch specials range from $ 4.50-$ 4.99. What a steal! I ordered General Tso’s chicken for $ 4.99. The thick sauce and batter/chicken ratio I experienced were perfect. Don’t miss this little restaurant hiding in a crowded strip plaza off of the main street intersection of where Montana turns into Airport Rd. Soya Café has a family-owned feel; our servers were very sweet(they’re quick, but take it as efficient not rudeness). It’s SUPER quick, cheap, and exactly the«Chinese food» that you crave. I gave my co-worker a crazy look for not telling me about this little gem sooner.
