Sun City Self Storage

This experience was horrible! I could not stress enough to stay away from this facility. It was only five days before we had problems. We were asked to leave for no REAL reason! We were told that we were speeding in this facility although we were carefully monitoring our speed on our speedometer but an employee told us he knew we were speeding. This employee informed my husband that he was «highly trained to count to 40 to see if a car was speeding», when my husband asked for proof of speeding. I cannot believe the unprofessionalism of this facility and fear for others in doing business with such a flaky institute. When my husband apologized, although knowing he did nothing wrong, he asked if this was his warning and the employee stated «No I do not want to tell you again, you need to move». Keep in mind we had only been to the facility 3 times, with NO other encounters. I still do not understand how this business operates, and with such an unprofessional employee, such as this man. I really hope others heed my warning to look elsewhere for a storage facility. As the employee mentioned «There are several other storage facilities you can use!»

I would like to take time to give an update on my experience with Sun City Self Storage. I was recently contacted by senior management in regards to my recent experience at their facility. For my concerns to reach senior management and actually have them show concern over my experience was refreshing. This action speaks volumes about this corporation and I feel they should be given acknowledgement for it. I was assured that training would be upgraded and that this occurrence would not happen again. I am grateful for this company taking time out to resolve this issue, and that the drive for outstanding customer service can still exist.

Am so happy I chose this place! The managers are great and helped me so much even after I showed up after closing time! Made it so easy and were all so friendly!

A very clean, well kept, and secure place to store your things. The manager Ray is very friendly and extremely helpful. They also have great rates for military!

This was one of the last storage facilities I checked out in Northeast El Paso, and when I asked about the prices, they didn’t have a rate sheet, and were the highest of the bunch. When I told the guy they were on the high side, he went into a spiel of which none of it made any sense to me. It just struck me as odd that instead of doing what every other storage manager does (matching or beating the competition’s price) he tried to sell me on points that were no different than any other place. So when I saw that this place has 34 filtered reviews and only one legitimate review… it started to make sense. Writing fake reviews is unethical and is a good indicator to steer clear of this place.
I would give them a one star, but the facility did look well maintained.
And when I asked about the truck, it was not free. He said it was half the regular monthly rate of the storage unit. That didn’t make sense either. So you are going to pay more for the truck if you put more stuff in it, not based on mileage? I mean that is great if you are moving your stuff from Albuquerque, but not so great if you are cleaning out your garage less than a mile away!
Maybe he just didn’t like me. Probably because I’m too sexy for my shirt. So sexy it hurts.

We were able to reserve two huge units here, and paid nothing for the first month on either unit. The owners were working that day and they were extremely nice and friendly! They gave us water while we were loading and unloading and let our four kids use the bathroom facility several… several times! :) We would recommend this storage facility to anyone!
