The pizza from pizza joint was very good, and came in large sizes. The atmosphere was great, which included good music and pieces of art. You can also play various games, like jenga and uno. My only complaint was the amount of tables, and how small they were. I felt crammed in, especially when it got busy. This place is across from Utep, which would be a good option for students who are hungry.

We are from out of town and looking for a pizza place other than the big name places. Unilocal led us to The Pizza Joint and we were pretty pleased with the quality of food, made fresh, and the things to do at the restaurant while you waited was pretty neat. The chalkboard wall was fun for our 2 year old to play on as well. As you can see our son gave it two thumbs up.

The Pizza Joint is pretty good. You basically get what you pay for. The pizza can be a little greasy but it still is tasty. I love the whole«artist alley» feel you get from the atmosphere, but the bathrooms need to be cleaned a bit more often… Anyway, check this place out! Its good for teens/college students mostly

Pretty hip Pizza place over by the university. They play cool music, and have some interesting art on the walls and tables. The pizza is pretty legit NY style and the wings are really good. Try the Pete’s Gold! I only have two complaints, the seats aren’t too comfortable and the bathrooms are a little lackluster. These hardly matter so come in and enjoy some good pizza and good vibes.

I go there cuz of the vegan pizza, now that being said I expect my pizza to be 100% vegan and employees need to be trained in understanding that veganism means zero animal derived products. I say this because last time I was there they added non veg Parmesan cheese on the crust and probably butter, also I don’t like that the cashier that is handling money and using their cellphone also makes pizzas right after. Money and cellphones are full of nasty stuff, all cooks should wear gloves and the cashier should just do that and not touch food at all.

Reminds me of a true NY pizza from home. Awesome pies and their pizza joints were great too. Sauce game on point! Thanks for an awesome lunch!

Solid pizza place that I will def keep in mind when I’m looking for pizza to go or just a massive slice late night. Their monday deal is $ 5 off their large 20″ pie. I ordered their fab 5(subbed mushrooms for bacon much to lament of cook) and 3 pizza joints. They cooked it super fast. The 20″ is huge. I have no idea what I was thinking when i ordered it. Its the thin crust floppy style pizza. The ingredients were super fresh. The jalapenos were making my eyes water in the car ride home. I loved the pizza joints. The marinara is a little too salty for me though. Pizza got a soggy pretty fast from all the grease so once it cooled it was not the most appealing pizza ever. Even the store warned me it wouldnt reheat that well(refreshing honesty). In terms of speediness and overall quality the place is a 3.5. The sauce they used for the pizza wasnt my fav so its not quite a 4. But I could definitely see myself coming back for a late night slice or some pizza joints.

Don’t listen to ANY negative reviews about this place. They have the best pizza in town, period. I hardly ever eat Dominos or any other big named pizza chain since trying this place out. You can’t go wrong with choosing a slice, it just depends on your mood and what you’re feeling like eating. Their slices of the day are super good and their Thanksgiving pizza is soooo bomb.

Great price, great taste, great service, decent portions. This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve been here. I’ve tried a different pizza every time and each of them have been delicious. I will definitely return.

Great pizza place! I stopped by here for a quick dinner recently and boy it made my night! I got a slice of the freshly made Vergie pizza(it has yummy vegetables on it) and man I wolfed that thing down in my car! It was actually one of those moments where you feel like you could die right there and you would be okay with it! Seriously! Okay, so maybe I was extremely hungry at the time but I’m still quite sure that it was a damn good slice of pizza! Nothing beats a good New York style pizza slice with good flavor in my book. Thank you Pizza Joint for being so darn awesome!

Found this place while looking for a late snack. Staff was extremely friendly and the interior had a great hip décor. Got a quick slice, and the pizza was surprisingly delicious seeing how I ordered the last slice before closing time. The price was average from what you would expect from a local pizza restaurant. I’ll be returning to try some specialty pizzas next time!

The pizza is great it’s hard to find better pizza than what you get at The Pizza Joint. The atmosphere is cool and feels like a fun place to hang out with friends. I love hanging out with my friends over some amazing pizza and wings. There are down sides though, the seating isn’t very comfortable and the UTEP location isn’t following their posted hours for some reason. Today(tuesday) we went after a movie to have a slice and with posted hours of closing at midnight they told us at 10 pm they were closed. This isn’t the first time this has happened and honstly it ruins what could have been a five star review. Honestly how hard would it be to fix the hours you have posted on your businesses door?

I was aimlessly wandering for food because I was starving. Emphasize starving. I saw the neat sign that read«pizza joint» and pulled over. Parking was easy to find and the minute I walked in I was greeted with smiles and hellos. I ordered my pizza and it was ready in no time. I appreciated the person working at the register because he made efforts to make small talk. The pizza was delicious and I want to say the crust had a hint of sweetness. It was yummy. I was beyond satisfied!

This place is awesome! The vibe is great. The pizza is off the hook. The customer service is killer! Got a vegan pizza with mushrooms, black olives, and artichokes. I also got a gluten free crust. Hands down one of the BEST vegans and gluten free pizzas I think I have ever had. The crust was a mix of crispy and soft. Perfect! I will definitely return on my next trip!

Well, it’s been awhile since I posted the original review, so I thought it was time for an update. I went here on Sunday at 2:30am, after getting off work. The place was over halfway full and the employees were busy making pizzas. The guy at the counter was super nice and he talked me into buying some of their pizza joints… like fatties of pepperoni and cheese, with a dough wrapper served with pizza sauce. Can I just say, these are the PERFECT late-night snack. Premade, but warmed up in the oven, as they are ordered… mmmmmmm. SOOOOO good. I got one order of 3, then an additional 2 orders to take back home. I know the fridge will keep them ready for me! The pizza I ordered to-go was a pesto-sauce double pep with bacon. I put it in the fridge and had a slice before coming to work this afternoon — really amazing for being cold. Very flavorful and the crust was crunchy! Dee-lish! They also sell Humanitea, a really amazing local product. I got the black mango. Very refreshing! Now, I still give 5 stars, but I have 2, and ONLY2 takeaways from this place: #1. Canned mushrooms. PLEASE, PLEASE, switch to fresh mushrooms. I think this amazing pizza deserves some fresh, thinly-sliced mushrooms. Canned, waterlogged mushrooms just ruin it, for me. Until then, I will avoid ordering mushrooms on my pizzas. #2. Pixy dust? There is a sweet dust that is routinely added to the crust, unless specifically requested otherwise. I always request that they make a garlic — butter crust, and it makes the pizza superb. I think the sweet dust ruins the pizza. Amazing product, good vibe, great sauce/topping selection and open til early AM. I love this place.

A huge slice of pizza from here is so refreshing. I mean that because it’s a slice of pizza that’s different from the standard we’re used to from all the big chains. This place makes huge pies and it’s so good. I like that their pizza has a bit of sweetness to it. This pizza is hot! Always piping hot from their ovens. They have a couple different pies behind glass display so you can choose a specialty and they’ll heat it up for you. They are open really late so if your out drinking and need some pizza to sober up stop here! They even serve beer!

The perfect place to grab a bite before a Chihuahua’s game. My buddy and I were downtown looking for a place to eat before heading to the Chihuahua’s game and stumbled upon this place. We didn’t want to pay the stadium prices for food, so The Pizza Joint was the perfect place. Not to mention, it’s situated within just a few minutes walk of the stadium. The Pizza Joint is just a fun place to eat and hang out. There’s a handful of board games to occupy your time while you’re waiting for your pizza. We ended up playing Battleship, which I hadn’t played in probably two decades. The slices of pizza are very large and isn’t a bad size for the price. I also got one pizza joint which was basically pepperoni and cheese wrapped in dough with marinara dipping sauce. I thought that was a little pricey for just one($ 1.25), but it was delicious, so I can’t complain too much. I’m definitely going to make it a «thing» to go here every time I go to a Chihuahua’s game. It’s close, it’s cheap, it’s delicious –can’t beat that.

Came in from out of town and ordered a large pepperoni olive and pineapple pizza that never came… when it finally arrived after to having to call and find out what happened to our pizza it was cold, and had obviously been sitting for a long time(probably the hour and twenty minutes it took to be delivered)…the thin cardboard like crust was burnt, the toppings were scarce and thrown together and there was hardly any cheese. Overall it was not a delicious pizza and I would not eat here again

I have high expectations for pizza(after mother bears and avers at IU), and I was thoroughly impressed. The Pizza Joint knows how to do it. Chalk board walls, board games, ginormous slices of pizza, happy hour, lunch specials… I wish I found this place sooner. I ordered the Fab 5. It was topped with jalapenos, pepperoni, tomatoes, spinach, and cheese. I’m guessing those are the ingredients that back the name. Since it was huge, I was on the struggle bus for a while. I kept the slice in the paper plate and nibbled at the sides until i could manage to hold it with one hand. Others, clearly regulars or just plain smart, would fold the slice in half or use a fork and knife. Duh, Mabel. The crust was perfect, soft and doughy on the inside but crisp on the outside. The pizza was thin with only a thin layer of toppings. But I loved their marinara sauce; there was loads of sauce near the crust. This joint has a typical college pizza joint vibe and i love it. It’s a great place to chill with friends and share an entire pizza or one slice(it’s big enough really).

There aren’t many places a local can go in a drunken stupor at 2 a.m. after spending the better part of a Saturday night at a club, but luckily the Pizza Joint is one of those places. Beyond it having good pizza and yada-yada-yada, TPJ is a great place to take your buddies to sober up(but of course you can go during the day too and still enjoy a good slice of pizza for a great price). You can order a whole pizza, but one slice… two max… will fill you up. I personally like the Jeffrey(basically a supreme pizza), but everything’s good. And the pizza joints are like mini rolled calzones — super good! Love ‘em with ranch and marinara. And pricing ain’t too bad either. But even if TPJ had sh@%ty food(thank the food God’s that it’s delicious though), I’d still go for the fun. It’s a small place, doing big things… the easiest way to my heart. Games, chalkboard art, and old school arcade games. I usually waste a good hour to two hours playing Jenga with friends, but on some occasions I just draw on the chalkboard that covers the right half of TPJ. A lot of people just sign the thing, but every once in a while an artist comes in and draws a dinosaur or a Spongebob. *I may or may not always draw a dinosaur with a gun that shoots hearts.
