Cost is decent, especially if you plan to eat enough of the buffet to make it worth your while! Staff was nice and friendly and the sushi was great so long as it’s not out there for too long(which was the case for one of the rolls I got). One of my friends wasn’t too enthusiastic about all the seafood and the waitress noticed and came and asked if he would like a steak instead which was very considerate of her. Overall, my friends and I had a good time and will be back soon.

This place has been my favorite sushi spot in town. You get the traditional Japanese sushi chefs and they create some very creative rolls. The place is split in two, a gourmet food side(Asian fusion) including ribs, steak, and fish and the fresh sushi side. My fav part is actually the unlimited crab legs. Highly recommend this place specifically on the weekends.

I had very high hopes for this place, but they crashed and burned. The Sushi is fresh and OK, but the big thing that got me was that the shrimp, especially the prawn sized shrimp were not cleaned. This only leaves me to believe what else is not cleaned. Will not return. LD

The service was good. The other good thing I can say is the rolls are made fresh. The place is clean. It is a buffet but not a wide varity of food for the price. 45 dollars for 2. It was not terrible but for the price I would like a more up to date place. mushroomsnin oyster sauce was sitting in congealled sauce, the rolls bland. We will not be going back

Awesome!!! The only thing I can’t believe is that they don’t have a website or Facebook page with their menu.

I’m a huge fan of oriental food. I absolutely love sushi, miso soups, and sashimi. I grew up with seafood and tried many Asian type restaurants, so I was pretty excited to come to one in EP. First off, the place the interior design is great. Love the marlin display. Our waiter was nice and enthusiastic. He even brightened the light for us, since it was a bit dark. We came on a Wednesday night so it wasn’t crowded. I only give it two stars because I didn’t appreciate some things displayed at this restaurant. The buffet was empty. Like no joke. I wish I had taken a picture to show, but I was too hungry lol. Literally, there was only one lamb chop on a plate. One flan at the dessert section. I know it’s a Wednesday night, but wow. It’s a buffet and you pay a lot. So, we ordered steaks and tilapia. It took over 40 minutes to prepare. By the time we got the food, we were full. My husband’s order(which came last), turned out«rubbery» cause I believe they turned the heat on high for a quicker process. A couple of my sushi were hard, due to being out on display for too long. It was probably on the plate for hours. But the thing that got me was the way the sushi was handled. It was close to closing time and one of the people(sushi chef perhaps) was clearing the sushi bar. He literally just grabbed it with his hands and threw it into the trash. That’s disgusting. I understand when there’s leftovers you throw food away(as most food establishment do), but to reach over the bar and grab it like you’re picking up a bunch of leaves off the ground. I usually see people pick up the plate and gather it onto a bigger plate or into the trash can, not smash it together and pick it up. The Japanese culture handles their food respectfully. I feel like If I had brought my family here, they’d be upset and probably leave. No joke. Maybe I’m ranting and going into it too much, but I felt personally disgusted at the sight of this. Please handle your food better.

It was ok. My recommendation is to come after 12. I got there at 1130 and almost everything looked and tasted old. After the place picks up it may be different but I was not impressed. I like how they have a lot of varieties but the taste just wasn’t 5 star. Now the service was great and never had to wait on my plates or water to be refilled. Also to spicy sauce on the sushi was surprisingly good. The deserts again tasted old and the green tea ice cream had an over bearing taste. I think they make it in the store and this batch was not properly mixed. I’ll give this place another chance.

Went there last night on a date night with my beautiful wife as this was the locale for our first date. So happy to see that the quality of the sushi is still so high and the variety is awesome. My wife and I simply love the sushi here and our waiter was always there but not overbearing. Ordered us some steak and it was grilled just like we offered it, medium well. Then to top it all off, we indulged ourselves and shared dessert pastries and had some of the best coffee to start a wonderful date night. All in all we had a great dinner and still classy as always, will definitely be back.

I wouldn’t give this restaurant any stars but in order to write a review a star was required. This used to be our spot and loved the food here. However after today I will never return. I was grossed out. At the sushi bar the employee preparing the sushi had their cell phone on the counter. Right next to an open plate full of raw fish. We asked our waiter for the mgr and the waiter came out and stated that the mgr is busy so we mentioned our concerns. He went to relay the message he came back to tell us that he apologizes but the mgr is out and that was the asst mgr and does not speak English and that’s why she did not come out. He mentioned that the asst mgr already spoke to the employee and the employee failed to place the phone else where. I lost my appetite and then as we were getting up to leave the man answers his phone and starts talking while handling the sushi. This is a complete disrespect and no value to the customer. I made sure I made a complaint to the health department. This should not be happening when you handle raw food that will get people food poisoned. I made sure I snapped a picture of the employee handing food and the raw fish for evidence and I wish I can post it here. But not to worry I made sure the health department has a copy.

Awesome sushi buffet! Great selection of sashimi and all their tempura is delicious. For the price, you get more than your money’s worth! Service and staff were all very professional and so polite.

I was craving sushi. That’s why we came here. When we walked in it seemed nice and clean, nice atmosphere. You pay before you eat so we just went ahead. Kinda surprised to hear 45 $ for 2 and we haven’t even seen the buffet yet. But okay– lets do this. The buffet had quite a big selection of sushi and also warm dishes and salads. I tried almost every roll and it was really good. We also had the seaweed salad(have had better, but it was ok) and the sweet and sour chicken(was good too)

Excellent food and attentive and professional service. They have a wide variety of sushi, hot foods, and desserts. Fish tastes fresh. Be sure to try the salmon, grilled steak, grilled tilapia, tempura shrimp, and green tea or red bean ice cream.

The service is nice. But, the food is left to be desired. The quality of food is that of a fast food joint that uses the leftover from the day before. I tried to be optimistic with the selection of food from the buffet. But, there wasn’t very much selection to choose from. The food was dry, old, cold, and extremely over seasoned. This place is way overpriced for the selection and quality of food.

The word GRILL in it had my hopes up that it was perhaps 鉄板焼き, wrong. It was straight buffet. I won’t put the word sushi in buffet because they had only about 4(out of 15 or so) actual sushi dishes. Half the buffet was Chinese ish food, the other half was some sushi and a lot of «rolls» that are tried to pass as sushi. Me 7 yrs ago wouldn’t know the difference. Me now back in America with a Japanese wife in tow, now knows better. I was so nervous that she wouldn’t like it. In Japan sushi isn’t something you just throw together. It’s a national food that is taken seriously. Actual sushi chefs have same near a masters degree in the stuff. So clearly this was like ehhhh… But I fear I do it to myself. I always try these places hoping I’ll find some diamond in the rough and never works out. My wife was actually the optimist I one. She said the salmon was the one that was actually good and could be considered legit. She also said at $ 13 each, it’s not the worst we can have. She reminded me often that sushi back home can be in the $ 100s easily, so when paying $ 13 each for a buffet, the salmon being good enough, and being in El Paso, overall it’s worth coming back when she is craving it AND doesn’t feel like making her own. Call me racist but I can’t tell the difference in most Asians. So I spoke in Japanese asking questions to the chef and he very sternly kept responding to me in English. I was like hmmm weird. I tell my wife and she was like duh you can tell so easily he’s Chinese man babe… I felt stupid, as usual lol. Oh well. I was disappointed that it was not a teppanyaki, it was half Japanese food only instead of all, and it’s all buffet… Ehhhh. But my wife was surprisingly ok with it, and said NOT often, but we can come back. So for an actual Japanese citizen to say we can come back, at all, I guess that’s worth 3 stars. But hey, ya’ll decide! I guess I have to learn that I’m in El Paso, so if im expecting authentic Japanese, I’m the one that’s kinda being uncalled for. Silly me. Either way. I recommend the salmon. It’s the closest to real and taste fine.(Fyi the salmon is the Orange one laying on rice. It isn’t sashimi btw. Sashimi does NOT have rice. There’s a very distinct difference.) いただきます

I love love love this place. Been there quite a few times, and I’ve never had a bad experience. The buffet is always hot and fresh. They don’t make tons of food and leave it out there, they have moderate portions so you know it doesn’t sit there long. The variety is also great! From chicken to sashimi you always have choices. My favorite is the soup bar! You can add any ingredients you want. I love how it’s a little bit more up scale than any other buffet around. Sounds kinda cheesy? Seriously, just wait until you try the food! I highly recommend it for any occasion!

Okay. So if you’re in the mood for a buffet of mediocre rolls that were«okay» at best. Then this place is a good choice. The rolls definitely weren’t fresh and the selection wasn’t anything to brag about. Sashimi selection was okay but all together wasn’t much to be excited about. And don’t even get me started on the«hot» foods. Talk about disgusting. Don’t even waste your time on them. If you come here its because you usually end up buying more than 2 rolls at a normal sushi place and figure you’d try and save some money. Don’t be cheap and spend the money. Especially when it comes to sushi. I was feeling adventurous but I’ll never be coming here again.

I have to say, for a buffet, the sushi & sashimi was fresh and tasty. Nice selection of specialty rolls, crab legs and hot dishes. I say for the price, it’s well worth a try. I will be back next time I’m in El Paso!

Last meal In el paso. Snice we havent had Japanese food yet. This is the place for us to try. Walk into the fron door with a large vase shinnin with lights. Was greeted by their host. Pay first befor you eat please. Was seated right across from the hot food. Hot food sation: there was at least 17 different dishes to choose from. Love that they dont dump old food on top of the new ones. I sat across from the hot food. I saw them changing it out and taking the left over to the back. By far I love the eggplant with mince pork. Hint of spice. Differnt style of cook fish. Stir fry veggies. Clamz. Ribs. Stir fry jap noodles. Everything was good and decent. Soup sation: tofu miso. Salmon miso. ADiakon pork rib soup. Undon soup with your choice of nom. spicy r spicy.broth. The cook will help u scoop ur soup r help you with your undon noodles. Grill and fry sation: they cook grill tilapia until it has a nice crispy outer layer and hot n fluffy inside. It was delicious. We had to ask for seconds. I believe you have to request for it. There was fries shrimp. Chicken. Tofu. I wasnt to interested in that part of food. Sushi: over all the. sushi wasnt great. It was ok. I ate few pieces. Cant really complain for whats in el.paso. Salad bar: they have a few different salads. Can say. much I didnt try it. Lol Dessert n fruits. It wasnt a large selection BUT I loves that everything look so fresh. Everything waa put neatly on its plate. ICECREAM: who knew you can find green tea n lychee ice cream here. I was very surprised. The lychee hit the spot for me. I couldnt get enought of it. Green tea was just right how it isnt too sweet with lite touch of bitterness from. the tea.

Tokyo House is a pretty good Japanese buffet, the sushi is good by El Paso standards, kinda like this city’s version of Todai. They have a good selection of assorted sushi, rolls, and sashimi, as well as a good variety of hot dishes, I enjoyed just about every thing I tried. They also have a grill, although my steak was dry, and a nice dessert selection. Its about $ 25/person for dinner, so as far as buffets go, that means its not going to be jam packed.
