OMG the empanadas are so good, by far the best I’ve ever had. Coming in from Phx this place is a must have.

No trip to El Paso is ever complete if we don’t make it to Valentine’s Bakery on Yarbrough by the Border Freeway. Their burritos are absolutely something out of this world. I think I have gone through the entire menu and I have not been dissapointed once, but if I would have to choose my favorites I have to say, Chicharron, Chile Relleno and Brisket are on the top of my list, but Lengua, and Verde are not bad at all. On the other hand, I’m not a Menudo kind of guy but if you go there on Saturday or Sunday mornings you actuall see a line that you could thing they’re giving things away for free but no it’s the line to get yhe Menudo, so I had to try the famous Valentine’s Menudo and I have to say it was awsome with a little bit of lime, cebollita picada and oregano, mmm DE-LI-CIO-SO. I hope this review helps you if you’re trying to decide where to go get something to eat while you’re in El Paso, TX. And if you live there and you have not try it, you have no idea on what you’re missing

I love visiting el paso! Every time I visit I make sure to stop by for some burritos. They are so good! No place in southern California makes them like Valentines bakery! I wish I could bring the bakery home with me :)

i live on the west side of el paso and i have to drive over to the east side so that i can get their fresh made tortillas because the west side never has any to sell me no matter what time you go they claim the tortilla maker never makes enough… so they advised me to pre-order so i tried once so when i went to pick them up they claimed no one knew what i was talking about so i was so mad i was going to speak to miguel the owner but i didnt want to hear a lame excuse so i will never go there again i would rather give my business to the one on yarbrough where they have nerver disappointed me once… sorry westside valentine bakery you lost a customer and yarbrough location has one more customer… i dont know how much longer it will be in business but good luck you sure will need it…

I totally love the flour tortillas! Living in California, my mother in law sends over a couple dozen every once in a while. The tortillas stay soft and supple, never breaking or becoming hard. The texture is awesome, just like homemade! You will not be disappointed!

Dear Patricia G., thank you for the fantastic review of Valentine’s Bakery. I stopped here a few weeks ago on my way back from downtown and have never felt so sorry that I research diabetes. The baked goods are incredible, and by the size of the bakery, I’m sure they sell locally. The chile verde burritos are freaking great, too. Well, your review pretty much says it all. Thanks much, Sean

The pan dulce! The tortillas! The francesitos! The menudo! What bad thing is there to say about a place where a line of sleepy(possibly hungover) people clutching their own pots snakes around three times and then out the door every Sunday morning? Seriously, WHAT? The scene I just described is a typical Sunday morning ritual for regulars, who tote their own pots there only to be filled with spicy, delicious menudo. Every time I tell my friends about such madness, they look at me as though I am making it up. No folks, only in El Paso, and in the Lower Valley, no less. When I lived back home, I couldn’t wait for each Sunday to roll around, so I could enjoy some of the bakery’s menudo, along with some of the best francesitos I’ve had in my life(I’m not sure if this is the proper name of the bread, but that’s what we call it). The francesitos, or loaves of bread, sold at this bakery are to die for when it is fresh. When it is not, it is still fantastico! I have never had any bread anywhere that are good as the Valentine’s ones. And then there is the pan dulce(sweet bread)!!! From the black and white cookies to the donuts to the red ball covered in coconut and with a layer of chocolate in between, their pan dulce is THEABSOLUTEBEST! I always buy a bag full of the stuff to take home with me to Austin, where I usually gobble it up within a day. Their breakfast burritos are served in the most delicious tortillas you will find in town. I recommend all of their breakfast burritos — truly deliciouso! The bakery itself is an unpretentious little spot that basically just has a counter with the pan dulce and a small waiting area with refrigerators of drinks along the sides. You go up to the counter and order what you want. That’s it. No fluff, no over-the-top service. But that’s okay, since they are all about their products. The wait time can get a little long, but it’s nothing compared to their Sunday morning rush. Top-notch Mexican bakery. That’s really all that needs to be said about this place.
