SERVICE– SUCKS! We waited 20 min for chips and salsa. CHIPSANDSALSA! The staff were just there bc they work there. They were not polite and were always rushing. There was like no one there when we went so why did it take them 20 min for chips and salsa!!! Atmosphere– the place is actually pretty cool and would be even BETTER if the service went up a huge notch. Looks like they have different bands playing at night and people like the atmosphere. Only stopped here bc the hubby wanted a beer. He said it was good. I’m sorry but I’m all about customer service so that’s why the 2 stars. Good luck.

We were so excited to visit Taos Mesa on our New Mexico adventure. The good: cool space, even in subfreezing temperatures. We visited on a Sunday with Myles Bonny spinning jamz from the stage(fantastic!) We ordered the tofu tacos. The lemon tahini sauce muted the flavor a bit too much for me. Fortunately, some hot sauce did the trick. The tofu was well seasoned. Husband enjoyed his fries and I liked the Calabacitas. The less than good: the beer! I can only review the two we tried, but we were sorely disappointed with the stout and brown. To describe both in one word: watery. Needless to say, we were left wanting for more. If you are in the area, swing through. I hope our experience, particularly the beer, was an anomaly!

Love this place for beer and I imagine that it would be a super fun venue to watch music. I had the frito pie and I loved it. My hubs had their pork tacos and didn’t not feel good after eating — maybe steer clear of the pork. The beer selection was limited and delicious. I really enjoyed the wheat and the red ale.

At least 4 IPAs listed on the website. Exactly zero available upon our arrival. Ordered from a bar which had been open exactly 25 minutes that was badly in need of a wipe down with a rag.

Located at the end of a dusty driveway and parking lot, across from the Taos Regional Airport and down the road from that bridge that’s worth checking out. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Place your order at the counter, they give you a number to place on your table, food is delivered to you. Staff is very friendly, brews, hamburgers and fries were very good, but extremely difficult to enjoy. We should have walked out before ordering because the hundreds of flies that were inside and outside the establishment. They SHOULD warn customers on days like this and offer some repellent for their arms and legs. We eventually placed some food on a napkin at the other end of the table to help draw them away from us, but still walked out with many bites from the flies. Ouch.

Hippie hot spot! Order beer and food. Beer is good but nothing that special in the craft beer arena, by the glass was also more $ than any other brewery we visited in New Mexico, including the ABQ area and Santa Fe. Beer: We had a beer that came with an orange slice attached to it. Food: Had an order of fries and the portion was very big! Atmosphere: was fun, open, and plenty of space. Looked like they have music nights often. Restrooms: clean Location: very close to the rio Grande gorge bridge!

Beer wasn’t bad… Just ok. But maybe my opinion is being influenced by the indifferent employees. Cool location and good food but again was put off by the staff.

This is a cool place to grab a drink. They also have an indoor stage and a large outdoor area for concerts. I stopped in on a rainy Tuesday afternoon so it was pretty quiet. Not sure how it is when they have bands and also didn’t eat so can’t comment on the food. I asked for a beer recommendation and got the Wheeler Peak wheat on tap. It was really good and I was happy with it. I was by myself so only stayed for the one beer but enjoyed walking around and looking at the spot. This would be a fun place to come with friends for food and beer.

Almost worth moving to Taos for. Enormous indoor/outdoor venue with live music and excellent $ 5 beers(at least the IPA and porter I tried). Looks like something out of a Mad Max set from the distance, in a good way.

Would’ve been 5 stars but there is no table service which is a bit inconvenient but the atmosphere was fantastic, live music, friendly people. It was easy to have a great time! Enjoyed the green chile cheeseburger but the sweet potato fries were the real star. I would love to return to check out the summer concert series, they have an excellent outdoor amphitheater & multiple seating areas and outdoor games. Also, last but not least, the beer was great! Recommend the knice IPA.

Beer is good liked the porter over the stout. Had a few time to get something to eat. When in NM at harvest green chile cheeseburger. The burger came great presentation. It had cheddar green chile red lettuce red onion. For me the chilies were non existent. No heat and the chile flavor was lost. Ordered medium got rare. Good Cumin vinaigrette. Liked that. The salad was enough to cover the plate.

If I could ask the management of Taos Mesa Brewing one question it would be ‘why the scaled back effort??’ Seriously! This review is tempered by declining recent experiences in an establishment that had once held so much promise. First off, I love the offbeat ‘Mesa-mode’ aesthetic that merges a ‘Mad Max/Post Apocalyptic ‘Alt’ style into an epically great landscape… It’s an American original! But I’ve gotta ask, ‘where’s the love??’ TMB opened 3 years ago with imaginative food offerings, a generous selection of ‘house’ and regional craft brew that matched the expansive landscape and alt architecture, transcending the usual brewpub fare. That trajectory continued to rise thru the past year but this year hasn’t been kind; gone is patio table service of any kind, along with at least 75% of the more interesting menu items. Today’s choices essentially are mediocre burgers and fries(not cooked to order), and a shockingly limited selection of beers that today didn’t include anything approaching an IPA! I left disgusted and hop deprived, pulling a Marble IPA out of the fridge at home to temper my disappointment. My three stars are generous; partly because I hope they can turn around what was once delightfully unique, but likely because of the Marble IPA that’s taken the edge off my visit this afternoon… Where is the love?

If you are visiting the area, on a skiing trip or a local and enjoy a good beer then you should definitely stop by for a beer!!! I think the first night in Taos we stopped by for a beer and a bite, to be honest I can barely remember what I ate(I think it was good), but the beer was pretty delicious! I don’t really consider myself a beer aficionado so I’m just goinna say, have the flight of beers, see which one you like the best and then buy a growler and take one home to share with family and friends!!! They also have live entertainment here.

What a cool space! We were in Eagle Nest actually and drove into Taos for some non-nature activity. We checked out the Earthships, the Gorge, considered the 20 mi drive to ojo caliente and then decided on frosty beers instead. We walked into the industrial and funky and fun Taos brewery for a delicious beer and found just that. The Wheeler Point hefe was on point and it’s hard to be mad when you’re drinking a brew and staring at the mountains on a beautiful day in New Mexico. Sadly, we didn’t run into any live music or any happy hour but it was still just a really nice day. Check their events schedule and treat yo self.

NOT worth the LONG drive out here. They are literally in the dust fields of nowhere. The beer was average. I had the wheat which was ok, but definitely the beer was better at the microbreweries IN Taos. The obnoxious out of control dogs peeing everywhere on the patio made for a annoying time. I had to jump up twice to avoid being splashed with dog piss. Why do people bring their huge male dogs to places and allow them to pee everywhere –making a 4 foot wide«splash zone» when every table is filled with people?

Fantastic! The service is slow-paced, but that’s a part of the charm of this place. This isn’t Gordon Beirsch or another chain brewery with giant screens everywhere showing sports and offering basic bar food. The beers are excellent and worth the visit alone, but the food and laid back atmosphere make the brewery a must if you’re in Taos. The staff are knowledgeable, and though busy multitasking, are friendly and great at making suggestions. The food is superb: fresh, thoughtful, locally sourced, and doesn’t gratuitously smother everything in green chilies. The Taos cheese steak is a real treat, and my wife still brings up their house made salad dressings. If you are from Taos, or just visiting, this is one of the best places to grab a drink or a meal. I can’t wait to visit again!

What a cool location! This is located up on the mesa which makes for some gorgeous views. Great service, food and beers. They have live music almost every night which is a huge plus. We happened to come on a night where they were showing a documentary-type TV show instead of having live music, which was a bit of a bummer, but we still had an amazing time. The producers of the show were there which was very cool. The place is big, clean, open and comfortable. The servers know what they are talking about and are very friendly and welcoming. The beers were wonderful. My favorite was the Doppel Bock. I usually lean towards IPA’s, but this bock was AMAZING. I got a green chile burger with fries but i added the green chile and cheese sauce. If you get fries as your side you have to get this cheese sauce, the«smothered sauce» as they call it. Yum! The only thing that could have made this better would have been if we were here during the warm months so we could have sat outside.

We stopped in to the brewery a few times when we were traveling through the area. We had a salad which we liked and a few pints and tasters. They’ve got pool tables and a stage inside. For us, the outdoor patio was where it was at. A lot of space out there, another bar, a place for a band, many tables and even a frisbee golf setup. Good times. There we sat sampling our flight and checking out my pics of the Bighorn sheep we’d just seen at the gorge. As for the brews, the Pale Ale, Brown Ale and Scottish Ale were best of show. Cheers.
