El Segundo Pre-School

This is a wonderful school and our son loves this school. The teachers are great and very caring to the children. Our son is going to be 3 and has been going here since the time he was a little over 2. At the time he didn’t even know English, but took him a few weeks to pick up the language and the teachers understand each kid’s strength and deal with them accordingly. Very friendly environment, flexible (unlike a lot of other places that are very rigid), and all the teachers know all the kids. Our son loves going to school and I’d definitely recommend this school.

I love this school. I had a horrible experience with my sons previous school where they didn’t even seem like they liked kids. This school is the total opposite. I have comfort in knowing that the teachers at this school act as an extension of me when it comes to the love my son gets at the school. He actually wants to go to school which was definitely not the case at his old school. And did I mention he already knows how to write his name before he turned 3 and can spell several words. I don’t know what the bad review was talking about with regard to cleanliness. There is a housekeeper constantly wiping down and picking up almost every time I drop off and pick up. The school is not the high tech swipe card Internet camera school you get when paying twice as much but the quality of education and love that the school give over rides all the bells and whistles.

Another great /​successful year comes to a close with El Segundo Preschool. We moved to EL Segundo because we wanted our kids in El Segundo School District. Little did we know that this day care center would live up to and exceed our expectations for «El Segundo standards.» Our son just finished three years there (2 — 5) and is ready for kindergarten. Our 9 year old daughter went there from 2005 — 2007 and the quality and care from when she went there to the time when our son went there has stayed at the same high level it always has been. In fact our 4^th daughter is still welcomed back and loved each time she comes in with us. Our kids were taught manners and preparation for kindergarten. Their yearly plan is well thought out and they keep the kids active all year long.
We are going to miss El Segundo Preschool, but I am sure we will have to make many «pop-​in» visits so that the kids can see their favorite teachers like Ms Patty who has been the director since before our daughter went there. Ms Kayleigh is a new teacher for the 4 – 5 year olds and our son fell in love with her. Ms Selena was always there and loved since she was helping change our son’s diapers 3 years ago. Ms Ashlyn and Ms Maria were never direct teachers for our son, but whenever they are in charge of his class for a day or even part of it, our son is running up to give them hugs hello and goodbye. It’s definitely a family environment where the kids care for their teachers and each other and their teachers truly care for them.
We will miss them and I wish them continued success. El Segundo Preschool was the best introduction we could have had into this community about 7 years ago.

To All Parents:
I had a horrible experience in this school, dislocating my child’s elbow by yanking on it by force TWICE! I have ER paperwork to show. My suggestion is to contact Child Care licensing department first to review complaints about a school before enrolling your child. I look out for other parents and children as well. Owner is horrible to work with, another review for La Marina preschool supports this attitude review, because it is the same owner as well as for North Torrance Preschool. They don’t want you to post any negative review about them, hence they are trying to intimidate you by «yelling «at you, when I am the Paying client and they couldn’t care for my children. They employ teachers who has no patience and no credentials, Most of them only have the 12 units early childhood education, I don’t think anyone has Bachelor’s degree or even an Associates. Owner does not even know what the word «DIVERSE» means.

There are hundreds of better schools in South Bay, Do a further research before making commitments. My children’s safety comes first. Did I mention that this school is FILTHY! My child got flea bites on the sandbox. I hope you find this review helpful.
