Tony from hi-​tech came to jump us a couple blocks away when our car ran out of juice… Free of charge!

Hands down the worst place for transmission service. They were working on the vehicle and then when I dared questioned the pricing they keep it for three days pretending to work on it and then handed it back to me WITHOUT the repair or apology. Tony has THE WORST business integrity wise I have ever dealt with. If there was a way to give zero stars I would.

I think I spoke too soon about Hi Tek…
I called and asked if they can repair my AC in my car and Tony said that to bring it in and they’d look at it free of charge. I take my car in and when I pick it up later the afternoon they hit me with a $ 200+ bill… I was a bit perplexed because we had agreed all they’d do was take a look «free of charge» anyway I drive away thinking if it’s fixed then fine.
[fast forward]
So I go on a road trip to SJC and the AC doesn’t work, I call Hi Tek and they tell me that they refilled the freon and replaced some caps and stuff but didn’t have the equipment to do an analysis and I should take it to a mechanic who specializes in AC.
So… they said they’d take a look at my car free of charge (which they didn’t do) and fixed my AC which is still broken. Now I gotta waste my time and money by taking my car to another shop that has the tools to analyze and fix my car. I’m pretty frustrated.
I think Tony is fine for transmission work but I say take your car some place else for specialized work. So annoyed.

This is the best and ONLY place to take your car. Tony takes great ride with every car and customer. He is honest and very very fair in price, there is truly no one like him. I recently purchased a Classic Car knowing good and well Tony would be able to help and guide me through the restoration and that is the only reason I bought it. Louis and Tony have worked on my trucks and cars with such confidence it makes you feel good. You know I just like to stop by and say Hi even if I don’t have my car there. They are good people

I’ve known Tony for about 20 years and there’s no other like him. Honest mechanics are rare and this guy is one of them. I always feel taken care of and if my car doesn’t need something he will says so. As a women it’s nice to know you are not getting overcharged because that, unfortunately, can be a problem these days.

Hi Tek is a great place to bring your car in. They are transmission specialists but they also do practically every other kind of auto repair. Tony is the owner and he is a very honest mechanic. He has never ripped me off or requested unnecessary repairs on my car. I used to work next to Hi Tek and have been taking my car there for years. I highly recommend this place. Honest mechanic and low prices!!!
