This is the worst Indian food I have ever had in US. The food had no taste. Even though my company is paying for my bill, I am feeling sad about ordering from this restaurant.

I am so excited I decided to order at Indian Summer Grill. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and a side of rice(combo). It was more expensive then I had expected but it’s a lot of food I will be having left overs for dinner tomorrow. The food was delicious! The chicken was soft and juicy not hard or tough at all! My food was ready I’m 10 mins after I had ordered it. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. It was very welcoming because this was my first time there. I am so happy there’s an Indian restaurant in town again! I would highly recommend this place if you are needing an Indian food fix!

The customer service is above and beyond here! I’ve begun frequenting this place because my chiropractor is across the street. When I’m off work, I sometimes haven’t eaten yet before I see him. I usually go to the L & L, but ever since Indian Summer opened– I now always grab a bite there when I get a chance. The owner is so sweet. The first time I came in he gave me a free gulab jamun dessert and offered me tea. The next time he gave me a sweet rice dessert. The food is also excellent! I always get the saag paneer… but all the dishes are excellent really.

Hands down one of THEBEST Indian restaurants I have ever been to ever. Their Tikka Masala is flavorful, spicy and filling. Must try if you’re in the area. Also, their lunch is a great deal.

Stumbled upon this place earlier today. What a pleasant surprise! It’s in a nondescript shopping plaza in El Segundo but the food is excellent and the owner prepared my chicken tikka masala just like I like it. I look forward to visiting again soon!

The old location further down Main Street had a wonderful, huge dining room. I am not sure what circumstances caused them to move to this location, which is now just a take-out place. My guess is that(like everywhere else in the SouthBay), the a-hole owner raised their rent. But in any event, I am glad they are still in business, because this place has AWESOMEINDIANCUISINE! The chicken tikka was fantastic, high quality chicken that had great spice to it. My friends who are actually Indian(i.e. born and raised in India) also love this place, so you know it is legit. And the prices are not bad at all for such quality food.

My girlfriend and I went last night and we really liked this place. Here were the main pros: –The service. The man who greeted us was not only courteous but also very eager to help us make good menu choices and kept following up to make sure we had what we needed. As far as I’m concerned, the service was as good as it gets. And the cooks were nice and friendly, too. –The food. I ordered a two-item plate with mild chicken tikka masala and paneer tikka masala, which came with basmati rice and naan. It was delicious, and portion size was large enough for me to take half home for leftovers. My lady ordered chicken tikka masala and saag paneer. She ordered hers much spicier, and married up to garlic naan. It, too, was very good. Here was the main sort-of-con: –Not dirt-cheap. Not terrible, but we still ended up paying $ 40 for two people, which we wouldn’t’ve expected given how humble and tiny this place is. Overall, my lady and I loved this place and the eating experience and will definitely be back again. I’d also like to respectfully quibble with the two most negative reviews I saw on here, both of which cite non-Indian food in their complaints. Yes, for some reason this place does have pasta, salad, etc… but I’d recommend reviewers consider Indian Summer on the merits of their… wait for it… INDIAN food.

Dang… I’ve read some of the low reviews on here, and I think this place isn’t that bad. So I’ll start with the things that could be better. I ordered the lamb special for dinner. The lamb portions were relatively small in contrast to the rice, curry, and naan that they give you. Instead of $ 12, I think $ 10-$ 11 would be a better price. What I did like? The coconut curry was friggin’ delicious. They give plenty of rice and naan to soak up all that curry. Their garlic naan is really good. So even though the meat portions were small, I still filled up on carbs, and as long as I’m full I’m generally happy. I’d go back just knowing that I can be satisfied on one meal.

Well, I loved the place. this place has the best paneer pakora I have ever had. the owner and the employees were very polite and welcoming. I have been to so many indian restaurants in all over LA and orange county but this place has the best paneer tikka masala of all. only downside was that there was not much space but obviously that didn’t stop us from having our peaceful and delicious dinner there!

By far the best Indian restaurant in LA. Not only is the food amazing; the prices and customer service is even better.

Formerly ‘The Melting Pot’ now ‘Indian Summer’. Loved the former place and frequented it a lot, now with new ownership… NOT I am a creature of habit and always got the same Ceasar Salad. The new owner jacked the price by 2 bucks(for a salad), no more ceasar dressing & now have to pay for the half pita. THAT is not why I walked out today and will never go back. The new owner is rude beyond belief. Talk about no personality. What happened to greeting the customers with a smile? I am a local, but do not recommend this place to anyone local or not. I could go on with my reason for a bad review, but my time is more valuable than to waste more words on this place.

I used to come here when they were a sit-down restaurant at the other end of the street. Now it’s a take-out with one table to eat in. However, the food has not gone down in quality at all and the mango lassi is so good! We had the chicken tikka masala and the Chana Masala. We also had an order of vegetable samosas and garlic naan. Everything was fresh and delicious! My husband who is very picky about Indian food, also gave it rave reviews. Although I miss the ambience of the old location, the sweet owners are the same and they even remembered me! Highly recommend!

First time here and we love the place. I had the chicken masala my wife had the salmon. Everything was delicious and tasted like it was homemade. Plus prices were reasonable and portions were generous. Lunch specials from 11am-3pm…we are definitely coming back!

Come on. This was the pitts. First thing’s first: I ordered the rotisserie ½ chicken. With it comes your choice of two sides. Unfortunately, there weren’t many sides to choose from, and the few that I saw(macaroni salad, romaine lettuce tossed in dressing, or diced tomatoes) didn’t look appetizing ATALL. Moreover, the macaroni salad was uncovered and there were a couple flies in the standing area. Ew. Anyway, notwithstanding that, I pressed ahead with an order.(Don’t ask me why because I haven’t any answer for you.) I asked for the chicken to be accompanied by basmati rice. As I sat there waiting I watched the guy who took my order turn into a line-cook right before my eyes. He picked out an already cooked half chicken and walked it over to a fast cooker to reheat it. Once it was done il he placed it over the salad I didn’t ask for, threw in the rice and range me up. The taste test: GAGS. All I could taste was salt. It was a sodium fiesta. The chicken was super super OLD and dry in many places, and there was still fat on it(not characteristic of actual rotisserie chicken). The rice was also apparently OLD. I didn’t even bother with the salad bed underneath because I couldn’t get past the first bite of the chicken. Total waste. This was the biggest let down I’ve had in a real long time. Not going back, even though they were friendly.

We ordered food for 7 adults tonight. Amazing! The food was so good. My fave was the lamb biryani. But we also ordered veg samosas, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken and the shrimp coconut curry. Honestly we all thought everything was on point. Get it :)

Food is okay, but over priced. Service is really bad, and the portions are small for what they charged. How can an Indian place not have Saag??? This is nothing like the restaurant. What a dussapointment.
