Wandered in today to what used to be Happy Six, but is now called Sophie Snow. What is the difference, you ask? Apparently quite a large one. I talked to the super friendly and adorable sales clerk who informed me of the differences and changes. Essentially, Sophie Snow has her own clothing designs as well as acting as a ‘curator’ for other clothing designers, providing a space for them to sell their goods at this location. The Happy Six at Sawtelle will retain the j-pop love, while this location is rebranded as Sophie Snow and has a different look, feel and stock. If in the area, check it out. Cute locally made clothing, unique from a standard retail shop.

Sky blue @iamsophiesnow sign at the top of the store. I see the cute Hello Kitty items and Tokidoki goodies in the window and I glance up and look at the blue sign that says Sophie Snow. «Hmm, Sophie Snow? This used to be Happy Six» I think to myself. I casually walk in and see the familiar kawaii items that I’m used to seeing at Happy Six. I’m nicely greeted by the guy at the counter and I ask him if they’ve changed their name. He says yes it is now the name of the Happy Six owner. It sounds like with the change of name, they can offer more items. I did notice there were some items here that wasn’t at Happy Six before. They have some CD cases with some pretty awesome designs. They also have some great looking prints by various artists. I also saw a lot of new cute clothes. The clothes are really cute but some are kinda pricey. They still offer the Tokidoki items and the Hello Kitty stuff too. I always love looking at all the different varieties of bags and wallets that they offer. Just like Happy Six before, the folks who work here are always friendly and they let you go about and shop and browse. Anyways still the cute store it once was but now with some other items and a new name.
