I was told this is the best non-chain place in town to grab a bite and while it’s nothing spectacular, it’s got a certain small town vibe to it. The Melton Chips that came with my burger were pretty good and the homebaked desserts seemed pretty legit as well.

We just had lunch there. Food was okay. Wait staff was loud and kept hollering back and forth and socializing. We felt as if we were intruding. Decidedly unpleasant atmosphere. Bojangles would have been better and more professional.

Évaluation du lieu : 2 Elberton, GA
Richards was the go-to restaurant and bar in Elberton for over 20 years. That all ended about 2 years ago. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable, as it always has been. But now, the evening service is awful. People in Elberton kept giving them 2nd chances after bad dining experiences because it was their favorite restaurant for years, but it became clear that the staff just didn’t care. Its not a matter of the kitchen being backed up or the restaurant being understaffed. The problem is a staff thats more concerned with socializing with each other and visiting with friends, rather than waiting on customers. The last time we went, they could have sold our table another round of drinks or maybe dessert if the staff had checked on us after dropping off our food, but our waitress spent that 30 – 45 minutes sitting at another table socializing with a friend. Lunch service was prompt the last few times I went, but talk around town is that they’ve become very slow at lunchtime too. Its a shame that Elberton has basically lost a good restaurant.
