This is a great lil country store from yesteryear. The owners are such nice folks. They have groceries and ice cream with handmade shakes and malts. Lunch meat sandwiches and pulled pork, sloppey joes and pizza. I like to go here on weekend mornings and sit at one of the picnic tables and enjoy a great coffee and maybe a breakfast sandwich and watch the morning unfold in kaneville. A must stop if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed. And by the way. They also have homemade baked goodies such as cookies and pies.

This store is actually in Kaneville. We have been stopping in here for years now on our way to Maple Park. It is a very rural store, where the locals can stop in to pick up the little things they may need from a gallon of milk to a package of hot dog buns. The best thing this store has going for it is the ice cream. It reminds me of being a kid again. Today I had a butter pecan cone. The cone was packed solidly with ice cream. It was the kind that has whole chunks of pecan in it. Perfect. Christopher had black cherry vanilla which was also seriously good. The store is hard to miss because it is not only at the main intersection in Kaneville, but also because the entire building is purple. It is a great place to stop after a hot summer day in the country.
