We came for a late morning tour on a Thursday in early August. We got a private tour with Curtis, who has given tours here for 35+ years. We are new to cavern tours, but we really enjoyed this tour and learned so much. We were able to take pictures of nearly everything. We came a day after a rainy day, so I think it had been busy the day before, we picked the right day and time to come. Beautiful sights, fascinating facts, friendly and funny guide. Nice excursion to escape the August heat. We would come back.

My 2 ninas and I went here on a Friday afternoon at 3pm. It was just the 3 of us and our tour guide, Curtis. He was great. My kids are younger, but he was able to mostly keep their attention and didn’t «drone on» like tour guides sometimes do. The cave was well lit, very pretty. Wear nonslip shoes like athletic shoes. The group(like in any cave) is slippery.

I have been to many of the caves world wide. Enjoyed our private tour at this cave & were glad to have beaten the rush. Not as commercialized as many of the caves I have been in, which was nice. The person who did the tour was a person who has been involved with the cave for around 30 years. It is obvious he has a love for this place & to do whatever he can to improve it making it more accessible to people to see it’s beauty. Doesn’t have tons of other formations found in other caves, but had petrified seaweed, algae & other formations that aren’t as common in many caves. It is certainly worth the price & time. Don’t be turned away from the lack of commercialization of this place.
