My coworker asked if I wanted really good bar food or Mexican for lunch. I chose the bar food, and we were off to the Whittle. In the tiny town of Eldon, Mo there are few choices for dining. The Whittle is a typical small town dive bar. NASCAR and hard liquors plaques on the walls, slot machines in the back, and locals smoking a pack of cigarettes during their meal. The burger and nacho were highly recommended by my coworker. I chose the Cajun burger with bleu cheese and a side of the potato salad. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of my lunch. The burger was cooked to perfection and was larger than anticipated. The potato salad was some of the best I’ve ever had. There was a hint of cinnamon or nutmeg that really stood out. After my visit to Eldon, I do agree with my coworkers. This is the best lunch spot in town!
