This is the newest restaurant on Kauai opened in 2015.

Kauai has some awesome restaurants. The best ones are extremely expensive and serve the tourist market. We ate at Hwy 50 for the first time last night and the meals we had are at the level of Kauai’s best. But the pricing is more mid range.
This is a place where locals can have fine dining without the second mortgage. Visitors can have the casual atmosphere Kauai is known for while eating food that would make mainland chefs envious. After years of visiting Kauai, and five years living here, the meals my wife and I had here were two of the best we’ve had on island — and definitely the best for the price.
I don’t have a lot of Unilocal reviews because it takes a lot to inspire me to come here and write. Hwy 50 did that. I hope they succeed so I can continue to have great fine dining on the west side.
