Just had a dead bolt installed on our front door, as the previous owners of the house did not have one, which is odd. The guy did a masterful job of installing the dead bolt and was quick in doing it. He was also available right away, so he was at my house within 30 minutes of me calling. The price was very reasonable and was better than what I was thinking it would be. As far as locksmiths go, this place has been my best experience with one. Would recommend them to anyone.

I managed to lock myself out of my house. I drove to Elgin Key & Lock, which I had seen. One block from the Police Station — a good sign. I walked in and Vince was the only one in the shop at the time, so he offered to come to my house shortly after the shop closed, which was very kind. He actually arrived a little earlier than scheduled, and got my door open in the rain, so he did not have to change the locks, saving me quite a bit of cash. His fee was very reasonable, and he is a really nice guy. He also gave me an after hours number where he can be reached. A very good experience. I recommend him without reservation.

Clark had to drill his way into the broken lock mechanism on my crappy Sentry safe. Work was done «while you wait» and with a smile. I’ll be back to this place!

Saved me after locking myself out of my apartment. I was back inside half an hour after calling and paying the bill was a snap as they can process credit on the spot.
Hopefully I’ve learned my lesson but I’ll be keeping their phone number handy just in case.
