I wasn’t going to write a review until I read these raving reviews of how GREAT of a seamstress she is. I am still fuming over the horrible job she did on my designer gown. She was OFF 1 ½ inches on the alteration of the seams on the SHOULDERS of my gown.
She ruined my Monique Huillier designer gown which I searched relentlessly for (and paid $$$) by simply not Measuring each shoulder before she cut! At 5’1, I can tell you it’s noticeable a mile away. I was furious when I realized what she had done, emailed her went into the store and she taunted me by video tapping me on her phone! Saying she was afraid of violence from me how ridiculously unprofessional can you get?
She refunded 30.00 saying that’s what is usually costs to fix something, and accused me of wanting a free alteration.
You have been warned!

I needed a bustle added to my wedding dress and didn’t know where to go. I was afraid of trusting strangers with my beautiful dress and heard horror stories from other brides about their alteration/​bustle work. So I went to Etelka based on the Unilocal reviews and wished for the best.
Etelka was very helpful with explaining what bustle type she could do and which she recommended and why based on my dress style. I’m tall and was lucky not to need any alterations. Since I had plenty of time the month wait was no issue for me. I picked up my dress with no issues and she did beautiful work for a great value! Like others who have reviewed her work, don’t be put off by the store being in Meijer. She is clearly the best in town!

I’ve never had anything altered before. Etelka assured me the bridesmaids dress would be ready by the time I needed. I contacted her on short notice and within 4 days I could pick up my dress. I only had it shortened, but it was a layered dress and when I picked it up it was exactly how I needed it. She charged 58, other places are usually 70s. She’s located in the meijers, but don’t let that put you off. I found her in Unilocal after reading other good reviews and someone else mentioned she took them in short notice also. She was 30 minutes away from me, but we’ll worth it!

3 pair of pants sent for lengths’ alteration on Monday and they only able to ready on Friday 5pm… leadtime is slow + $ 12 per pants is very pricey (pants value $ 70 and alteration $ 36…) I should make more research before walk in.

I chose this place because my future daughter-​in-​law heard good things about her. We are both so happy with our dresses. She was upfront about the cost. Don’t be put off by the grocery store Meijer. She did a beautiful job.

I can not comment as to how quickly she works as I was not in a rush. High priced for mediocre work. I should have shopped around. Chose the shop for the location rather than workmanship.

Absolutely love this seamstress — she is reasonably priced and quick. When I got a dress only two weeks before a wedding I was in she had it altered (which it needed lots of altering) in only one week. She also regularly hems my pants for a good price. Last time I was in there were bridal gowns being altered, a sign of the quality of her work. Much better prices and quality compared to bridal shops like David’s or House of Brides. Highly recommend!
