We had a last minute printing project that we initially sent to Staples in South Elgin because they promoted they could do it the same day. Staples was unprofessional, and could care less that they couldn’t get it done in time. So we took a chance and called Office Max in Elgin, and we couldn’t have been happier. The staff went above and beyond to help us, they were extremely friendly, and the manager on duty was so nice. I am going to go back for all of our business printing needs from now on.

Customer service? Not. I stopped in around mid morning with a 3 minute printing job (12 pages-​1 page each). I was told to come back in seven hours. When I asked if there was any way the document could be printed now as I needed it before noon – the clerk chimed «first come first serve» and walked away. For a moment I thought we had stepped back in grade school. I guess she wanted me to go the Staples – next time I will.

I was printing Thursday and my black ink remanufactured Cartridge World inkjet cartridge ran out, so I drove over to the one in South Elgin, IL to find out that they had closed this location and now only had one open in Batavia, IL, I did not have time to drive there & back as I had a doctor appointment.
My docs’ receptionist raved above Office Max and how they refill any Ink Cartridge and guarantee it will work for only $ 10. She said that I did not have to go back to Cartridge World. I went to my local Office Max in Elgin, IL and asked can this cartridge be refilled because this a Remanufactured Cartridge and not a refillable Cardtrdige and they said sure no problem and I paid $ 10.79. I was excited to spend only $ 10 for my Ink and rushed home to try and print something and it did not work.
I went back there today Friday and said it does not work can I have a refund, so the guy gives me cash because he can’t figure out how to credit my credit card, and then he will not give me back my inkjet cartridge. I said this is my cartridge, I did not buy a cartridge from Office Max, it is a Cartridge World cartridge, you can’t keep it, all Office Max did was provide Ink, I then said drain the Ink and he refused. He said the only way I could have my Cartridge back was to give them back the money. SO I gave them back the money, took my cartridge and drove to batavia to Cartridge World and said this Cartridge does not work and they gave one for free.
The idiot at Office Max was incorrect in telling me that my Cartridge World Cartridge could be refilled. Now I have opened a dispute with my credit company to get my $ 10.79 back. I was relying on the person at the store to be honest and he was not and I did not know there was difference.
Need less to say I will never be shopping at Office Max again.
