Regulators Sports Bar And Grill

We were really sad one day when we went up to the door to find that the bar was «CLOSED»
We drove by frequently to see what was going on and if we were really loosing this little gem. only to see some remodeling being done. Sure enough, a few weeks later, the Bar had been completely redone and remodeled! I can’t say enough about what a positive change this place has made — added more seating, a POOL TABLE! Darts and a couple video games.
The menu is pretty much the same — but sadly have removed the «Cajun Corn» which we absolutely loved! They’ve added more TV’s and have plenty to watch while you have a nice cold tap beer, margarita or mixed bevi. We are fans and hope you get to see the all new Regulators too!!!

This is one of my favorite places in Elgin. They have probably the best boneless wings I’ve had anywhere, great fries, great burgers — sure, it’s sports bar fare, but it’s really great sports bar fair.
They’re also open for brunch now. Four of us went on Mother’s Day and it was terrific. I will say that the biscuits are done in a cake pan and may not be what you’re accustomed to as biscuits, but keep an open mind — they’re really good. Excellent biscuits and gravy. The only slight disappointment is that the «bubble eggs» don’t quite live up to the hype. They were great, just not as great as the description makes them sound.
Leonard, the owner and part-​time cook, is a real character. When it’s busy, you probably won’t see him, but on a weekend afternoon, he’s very friendly and pretty chatty.

Fantastic burgers and an OK beer selection. Once the DJ sets up in the evening, it gets too loud to talk.

I would really like to try this place. Problem is, tonight my presence was ignored. A patron coming out of the restroom informed me that it was «seat yourself» service. This after a fairly long wait. There were five or six sitting at the bar, the tables were all empty. The employees were looking at something on the computer.
Gee, I wonder if this is good place to eat. I’ll never know.

Went on a friday night and couldn’t get anyone to even acknowledge our presence. Too bad service is hit or miss, because the burgers truly are awesome.

Best place to eat in Elgin. They are super friendly and even were sweet enough to check if certain items had gluten in them for me. So nice that they made me special fries and accommodation since I am gluten free. Can’t say enough good things!

This is MY kind of people. Always a good time and trouble free!

Regulators is a hidden gem. I got the Regulator burger, cheese fries, and Rookie on Fire wings.
The burger quality was out of this world. It came with your choice of cheese, lettuce, onion, mushrooms, and very crispy bacon. The wings were spicy and fried to a crackly golden finish. and the cheese fries were salty and delicious.
The owners and staff are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
If you want to watch the game, drink cold beer and eat nice food while being surrounded by good people, then look no further.

Can you say cheap beer for happy hour! Smoke free.

This place was amazing. Such a good vibe. Awesome staff. And the wings can’t be beat. Beer was cold and hit the spot. I will for sure be back!!! Love it!

This was a horrible place. I went here a second time to give It another chance but nope. This isn’t really a bar either. They have a small selection of food and none of it tastes good. It is very expensive for food your not going to enjoy. They barely play music like a bar should. Food takes a very long time because the service is horrible. Expect your food to be cold. If you want to go to to a real bar there is one right next to it called Mandos Bar. Live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday
