I would like to also note that Reverend Denise sent me a message on Unilocal and also today (¹²⁄₂₇) left a comment on my previous review. We have received ZERO phone calls from Reverend Denise — I am not sure she has a phone number for now Mr. Husband or me.
Again, I stress that this review does not have anything to do with Reverend Denise Tracy’s actual officiating services (we didn’t get that far), only to the service we received while we were doing our own research.

We found Rev. Denise through Thumbtack. What a find she was! She helped craft our ceremony using a book of readings and poetry she has compiled over her 30 years of officiating. We are both creative, quirky types and she had material that suited us perfectly. It was nothing short of amazing. Many guests commented on how unique our ceremony was and how the words seemed to be made for us. This was a second marriage for both of us. She incorporated a special greeting for our parents, step-​parents and our children that made it that much more special. Denise is very personable, laid back, and open minded — just a delight to work with!

Reverend Denise officiated our same-​sex wedding on July 12, 2014. She was a consummate professional who totally understood the non-​traditional «vibe» we wanted. We wrote our own vows which she weaved seamlessly into the ceremony. The reverend was very flexible as our outdoor ceremony had to be moved indoors due to weather, which created some last minute logistical hurdles! She is a dynamic and polished orator who earned rave reviews from all of our guests and played a huge role in creating an inclusive, welcoming and loving environment for our wedding. Highly, highly recommended!

Rev. Denise was the easiest, no-​fuss wedding vendor we dealt with. She was referred to us by a friend who attended a wedding she officiated. My then-​fiancé contacted her via email rather late notice (1 month prior), set up an appointment to meet her at home, we met with her and chose the «parts» to the ceremony (we mixed and matched a handful of commonly said things she already had), gave her a cash deposit on the spot, and were out of there in an hour!
A day or two later, she emailed us the entire ceremony that we had discussed in her home, allowed us to make some changes via email, and that was it. We didn’t hear or see her again until an hour before the actual ceremony. She made sure to find us at our venue, gave us a couple pointers, and told us to relax and that she would be giving us cues, which she did very subtly and professionally. Even one of our groomsmen asked us later, «Where did you find her? She was on top of things!»
For those of you looking for someone to guide you through every detail, she might not be the one for you. She’s rather hands off, but she is pretty responsive via email. Like other officiants, she will charge extra if you want her to attend your rehearsal, so we orchestrated the rehearsal ourselves.
She is also really a good soul. Although she has a church background, she is very open and accepting of all humankind. We were not picky about our ceremony — just that it be non denominational and short! But in hindsight, I’m glad we chose someone with such poise and experience! Working with her was truly effortless and inexpensive! I highly recommend Rev. Denise!

Our wedding was 5÷18÷13. Denise is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is extremely flexible and helped us to create a wedding ceremony that truly was unique to us, as well as provided guidance in writing our own vows. I highly recommend Denise to anyone who is looking to create a truly unique ceremony — she is a blessing!

Rev. Denise Tracy officiated our wedding ceremony on 4÷20÷13. We met with her first at her home to discuss what we wanted and we picked out readings.
