We where referred to a surgeon who visits this office on Wednesdays, gave them the insurance information and discussed the medical situation when we scheduled the appointment. The day of surgery we paid our 40.00 co-​pay for «specialty visit» only to be informed by the surgeon that the insurance would not pay for these services. What a waste of time and money. We where told the last patient who had a similar circumstance had to pay 700.00. Couldn’t they have given that information before we wasted a day off work and 40.00 in copay. I guess they make out ok, they still get to charge the insurance for the visit. What a scam.
