I brought my daughter to the South Elgin Immediate Care Center and was really impressed with how quick we were able to see the doctor. Very friendly staff and our doctor was thorough and very willing to answer questions. He seemed like he genuinely wanted to make sure we understood and were comfortable with his prognosis.

They are also building a state-​of-​the-​art replacement hospital, something the area desperately needs to maintain the level of care the public deserves.

My mother was recently admitted to Sherman Hospital’s ER department with leg pain and breathing problems. She was terribly nervous and rather cranky (she’s 67 years old). Not only did the doctors figure out the issue quickly, but he and the nurses treated my mom like she was their own, sidestepping one nasty comment after another as if they truly felt her pain and only wanted to see her improve. After a week of incredible treatment, she’s been moved to a nursing rehab facility that’s not associated with Sherman (yeah, insurance issues) and although we can’t complain about the treatment, we can say it isn’t the same level as Sherman.
