This is a proper shabby-​chic antique like store in the heart of Elgin, I wish there were more like it! They sell chalk-​paints in the store and have sample pieces that show you what your finished product will look like. I really do appreciate it when someone curates their store perfectly with a different variety of the same pieces within the same style genre. This place is adorable and I hope it stays around for a really long time.

This is a great place for gifts! We try to «shop local» when we can and this was my go-​to place for Christmas gifts this year. Lots of fun stuff for every budget and it smells great. The owner is always there and she’s helpful in finding something you’re looking for.

This is such a great spot for one of a kind gifts! Every time I have to go to a housewarming or buy a gift for the person who has everything, I come in and buy either the fragranced soy candles (my favorite are the birds), the dishwashing soap in a wine bottle, or one of the homemade wood turning vases or candle holders. I understand what Angela said about the prices (crazy high was exaggerated, maybe on the higher end but reasonable on many items) but I agree with the owner’s remarks. These are not items you will find in retail stores, therefore one of a kind. Where else can you find repurposed ELGIN watch faces turned into jewelry? Either way, I recommend many visits as you never know what you will find!

Adorable store! Great for browsing and getting home décor or craft ideas, but I don’t plan to go back. Prices are crazy high! This is elgin, people. Not Geneva. Also, the blonde owner is extremely rude. She always makes me feel like I’m annoying her when I stop in. She’s really unfriendly.

This shop is seriously adorable! I love the relaxed vibe. I can see a purpose for everything in there. If you’re crafty, find beauty in the little things and love reminiscing then this is the place for you! They also give different arts& crafts lessons that you can sign up for. They also (happily) support other local businesses and sell jewelry/​items from local artists. Adorable place with a sweet, intelligent owner.

This is a great little shop; well merchandised, interesting and unique selection, and a much needed type of store for downtown Elgin. The business moved from St. Charles and it shows. The items run from bohemian type jewelty to vintage clothing to decorative merchandise, all of which I’d be happy to take home. The ambiance is relaxed, no pressure from the friendly owner. There are live finches chirping in large cages and one little guy always seems to escape and hops about.
I hope people in Elgin will support this shop, it’s the kind of business we need to revitalize the downtown district.
