Mike has been cutting my hair for a number of years now. Always a predictably good haircut. I usually leave without so much as a hair out of place.

Our time is such a valuable commodity these days. Seems like you never have the time you need to get all your errands done, right? I might be able to help. If you’re in the Elgin area and your to-​do list includes both getting a hair cut and listening to a racist speech, then you could probably save some precious minutes by stopping here for both activities. Mike, the Bigot Barber, can even cut your hair while telling you why he hates Mexicans. To start this all off, I told him I was from California, and his response was, «Well, you won’t miss the Mexicans because we have tons of them here.» I told him that I like Mexicans, but Mike’s not so good on taking hints. Or possibly his medication. I’ll sum up a long, uncomfortable tirade and spoil the ending by telling you that every Mexican that Mike has ever known is here illegally exploiting our system, taking our jobs, and, worst of all, these Mexicans want Mike to learn Spanish because they don’t want to learn English themselves. No amount of disagreement on my part made any difference.
