The place is now The Road House Tavern. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - I’ve enjoyed the catered BBQ lunches from Muddy River Marketplace, when I’ve had to attend workshop training sessions in Cape Neddick as part of my job. They set up a nice buffet with make your own sandwiches(pulled pork, pulled chicken & beef brisket), baked beans, cold salads, cole slaw, roasted vegetables, tossed salad, corn bread, cold drinks, and trays of brownies & cookies. I enjoy the tender beef brisket and pulled pork which are smothered in a rich sweet & smoky BBQ sauce. The cole slaw is delish too! Muddy River is always a big hit with our group! I’ve also been to this restaurant which has a rustic roadhouse atmosphere with southern blue-sy music playing in the background. Muddy River offers a full BBQ menu, great sides & appetizers, as well as salads, 10″ real brick oven pizzas and not BBQ items(fish & chips, steak tips, and chicken scampi). Shain’s of Maine ice cream is also served here. On Tuesdays, an all you can eat BBQ buffet($ 13.95) is offered. See the menu at They offer full service dining with indoor seating and outside seating and picnic tables. Takeout counter service is available and they sell mugs, shirts, cornbread mix, and BBQ sauce. There’s also a Pig Pen bar area in the back which has 12 beers on tap and an HDTV. I just had a Beef Brisket Sandwich with Fries($ 8.95) for takeout which was very good once again. I should return here with my fam and buddies since this location is pretty easy to get to.
