Loved the hotel and staff. Very accommodating, clean, and affordable. Free coffee and tea 24 hours a day. Free breakfast with plenty of options. Gotta love the free snacks, drinks, beer and wine Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I would typically rate a comparable hotel a 3 or 4 star. But I’ve stayed at several of the other hotels in the area and I have found nothing comparable. This was my first stay at this Fairfield. It looks brand new. The staff was friendly and the room was cleaner than any Marriott property I’ve stayed at in the last 3 months=spotless. Bonus– it was quiet and the towels were new and fluffy.

I had a great stay at this Fairfield Inn & Suites. Checking in on Sunday I found everything to be pretty quiet and relaxing. The service was friendly and helpful. I was happy to find out I could acquire complimentary items I had forgotten at home like toothpaste & a razor. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and the shower high pressured. You never realize the value of a high pressured shower until you don’t have one. Luckily that was not an issue I encountered. Also, I found the modern interior decoration to be very appealing. My only critique would be that the outer curtains of the room do not close all the way. Even though I was on the fourth floor and there was a set of sheer curtains to block the view I still felt a little exposed without the ability to close the heavy curtains. Other than that I had a great stay, a hearty breakfast, and a relaxing time.

My sister and I stayed here recently. We came to E-city due to a death in the family and the staff was wonderful and helpful. The hotel is going through some major redecorating and it did not seem to disrupt the services to its guests one bit. Even the workers doing the remodeling were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable. I do have to agree with the other reviewer who stated that the HVAC unit was noisy. I had to turn it off. The only downside was their housekeeping staff need to be better supervised. There was one housekeeper who was on her phone constantly while working and dropping the«F» bomb all over the place.

We had an overall great experience here. The front desk staff was wonderful and very helpful. The housekeeping staff on the other hand were a different story. We passed by two housekeepers right before check out when approaching the 4th floor elevator. I gave them a friendly nod, smile and said«hello». The one I had made eye contact with simply looked away. While we waited for the elevator, the two women carried on a personal conversation concerning very private details about one of their daughters love lives. We heard way to much info about her, I’m sure the daughter wouldn’t have been thrilled. This and we noticed some pretty nasty stains on the bed skirt. I’m sure these are never cleaned, it may be time to consider washing them. Not sure if what we spotted was vomit or love stains, either way, it was gross. These situations alone will not stop me from choosing Fairfield Inn during future trips. I still feel the 4 stars are warranted due to the rest of our experience.

This was expensive $ 160/night for what it is. The basics were covered — the room was clean. I didn’t check out the pool. The«free breakfast» that supposedly went until 10 was effectively over by 9 am because I heard a staff member say to another that some people had taken plates full of bacon and eggs and they would just keep taking it. Later comers were stuck with sad remains. The coffee was weak and undrinkable. I’d rather pay and have something worth eating. I have to say that there isn’t much to choose from in Elizabeth City and perhaps this place was expensive due to its proximity to the beaches. I don’t know, but it was worth $ 79 tops. Just keep driving to Chesapeake!

The hotel is very beautiful, the staff friendly and hey it’s the south, so you do feel that southern hospitality. Amenities are great! But, I go to hotels to sleep and it’s something I’m not getting right now because the air conditioning unit in our room rattles so badly that I had to shut it off. It’s 89 degrees outside right now! When I called to see about a new room, the response from the front desk was that they all are loud. Ouch! It’s not that the A/C is loud, the whole thing is rattling. I expect a fan to blow cold air in the room, in fact that will put me to sleep. Marriott can do better. Let’s hope they fix this one and if there’s a next time here, we may stay elsewhere.

I was highly recommended by my coworkers to stay at this location while working in the area. The hotel itself is beautiful, high class, clean, and the staff was great. In short, I would absolutely stay here again! The nearby hotels are no contest.
