Tony’s Italian Restaurant & Pizza

I really don’t like most pizza; I am picky. But this is my local go to place for a slice. On top of that, I have yet to be disappointed by ANY of their entrees. Salads are fresh. Pasta is proper textures every time. Their garlic knots are really tasty and the cannoli… Fantastic! This is a family run establishment and the care they take to ensure quality food is evident.

Good pizzas. The Lasagna is average but ok. Good chicken salad. Good service. Tip: a small size pizza is far enough for one adult.

This is my son’s favorite place to get pizza. Their calzones are always consistent. Great place to go with a group. Service has always been good also.

Pizza is great! Ordered one for carry out for the first time. Girl i talked to was patient and helpful explaining menu options for ordering. Pizza came out exactly as ordered, tasted great with a side of garlic knots. Better than any other franchise pizza in the area.

Wow amazing NY style pizza moved to nc from va and used a place called sals by pizza and Tony’s is the sals of Elizabeth city I love it cheap prices just wish they had an 18 inch largest dey offer is 16 still great

We just moved to Elizabeth City from Hawaii and immediately wanted to find a good pizza place we could make our regular place. We had the meatball pizza since many of the reviews said it was the best. We added peppers and onions and also ordered buffalo wings. The wings came out quick and were piping hot. Yum! We also both ordered sweet tea which was amazing! The pizza came and It was huge! The cheese was gooey and warm and perfect. It was good pizza, no complaints. Just not the «best I ever had». We were seating promptly, the restrooms and the restaurant were clean, and our waitress and the hostess were warm and friendly. We will definitely come again during our time stationed here. Maybe we’ll try the pasta next time.

Best meatball pizza ever. This pizza is the best, here in E City. I take out from here more than I eat here because the booths are a little uncomfortable. A chair at a table is comfortable but my wife likes booths. Other food is also very good. Best Italian around.

Outstanding Family owned and operated Italian food in EC.
My wife had the Linguini with Mussels and Clams, good-​sized portion, full of flavor and good value.
I tried their Veal Marsala, Wow it’s the real deal made with real VEAL not made pressed-​sawdust veal that other places use.
Good sized portion, full of flavor and decent value.
Service was on point.
Looking forward to our next visit.

Best pizza in town… closest to NY pizza down this way. Pasta is great too and the scallopini is just yummy! It’s family owned and operated and has been around for quite some time. It’s a local favorite…

I am a picky pizza eater, but I love a pizza made right. Tonys nailed the perfect NY style pizza from the crust, to the sauce, to the cheese – amazing! Prices are decent as well. Will definitely be returning here.

Best pizza joint in town. This is owned by an Italian family which is becoming a rarity in NC. The pizza is great… sausage is awesome as I am completely bored by flavorless pepperoni. The pasta dishes are good as well. Friendly service and an all around good value.

Franziskaner beer is avaliable here and to my knowledge no other establishment in town has it. It’s hard to find a restuarant in E-​City that has a decent beer menu. Tony’s is one of the original Italian restuarants in Elizabeth City and has been here many years. The pizzas are very good. It can be very crowded on the weekend. Nice atmosphere inside and good service makes for a great meal out.

I came here with my grandparents who are regulars and rave about how great their pizza is and how family oriented it is.
The décor is old and dated and not very classy but it was generally clean.
The pizza dough is the key to a great pizza and they have a delicious homemade recipe with just enough chew. Simple sauce with phenomenal fresh toppings. Overall great experience! Just need an updated appearance but other than that it’s a great place!

The Alfredo sauce is very rich but not too heavy. The pizza is NY style and is really good if you like yours in that style. The dining atmosphere is casual and the prices are very reasonable.

Best sicilian around. The only drawback is the three hour lead time for ordering it so plan accordingly. Worth every hour.
