Pre sale service was very good… Ordering was easy. Delivery scheduling and actual delivery was good. Price not the lowest but I bought anyway based on personal friend’s good reference. Was given incorrect information on rebates by retailer. [Though manufacturer’s…(Bosch) rebate rules were confusing with multiple date cutoffs] Followed up via multiple phone calls, emails and USPS mail. No response from Jacobson. Poor after sale customer service. Will not buy from again.

Jake’s is the place to shop! I buy all my appliances there and have for years. He has the best prices and if you can’t find exactly what you want, he’ll pull out the catalog and find it. Delivery is quick and the guys are amazing in their efficiency. I purchase a stove for my daughter in Tinton Falls and they had no problem getting it to her(thats 35 miles away). Don’t need anything now but when I do that will be my only stop!

Good price. However i found a part of the dishwasher dislodged and called on how to proceed. «Joe» answered the phone. What a rude and obnoxious person. I can’t believe they allow him to talk to customers. When I asked to speak to someone else he said to say please. I spoke to the owner who seemed almost like he didn’t care. After 17 years I won’t be doing business with them again

My family has been shopping at jacobsons for years. My family now represent three generations purchasing products. Very friendly, courteous and quality merchandise. Have and will always recommend them. They also use high quality installers when coming to your home or business. Thank you!

okay, old school place, dirty, cramped, and limited selction on floor. limited parking. all salespeople with accents, no respect for women(I guess they don’t know actually controls the money.) However, the salespeople do know their stuff and are well apprised of what’s out there. I bought frig and they did, indeed, know how to guide toward the best fit, function, and price. I had a problem with teir delivery service that damaged my home, broke the ice maker, and put the door handles on upside down. even tried to charge me for reversing the doors. theguys were total jerks. I bought this in Oct., it now Dec, and I still cannot get the plugs to cover the holes where the door hinge was changed even though Tarek has promised me 20 times. The refrigerator(Maytag) works 1000X better than the GE that was only 10 months old. If you buy from them, and their prices are good, make sure you negotiate heartily, get everything you want up front and in writing, before paying off the credit card. The owner’s name is Alan, his daughter is Monica. Pat and Tarek know what they r doing, but they talk way too much for comfort. good luck.

I understand Jacobson’s They’re old school and are either don’t understand or are afraid of moving in to the modern market. They’re condescending, they talk you in circles and though I wouldn’t call them dishonest, I’d described them as being outdated, pushy and a tad bit shady. This made for a fairly unpleasant buying experience and I wouldn’t buy from them again. They were not interested in what I, as the customer, had to say. They proceeded to tell me what they thought I needed and what would be best for me. This wasn’t helpful. Just because my room is a certain size doesn’t mean I don’t want a smaller AC unit or refrigerator. And just because you’ve sold appliances for 20 years doesn’t make you always right. I was purchasing multiple items and after a dizzying phone conversation with the 2 salesmen(Pat & partner) they told me theirs was«the best price available» and that«I wouldn’t get a better deal elsewhere that would include shipping». This, of coarse was not true. The same or lower prices can be found online.(If you have Amazon Prime, etc the shipping is free) but they wouldn’t listen to me. If you do mention any online stores they’ll give you a thousand reasons why they’re better. They will argue about Amazon, Walmart, Bestbuy or any store regarding a better deal. Yes that’s a bad sign and yes and yes I should have walked but… Actually I gave them an exact price of an item along with it’s shipping cost that I had researched and they said it wasn’t possible even though I was staring at the price while I was on the phone with them. It was like a bad dream. When they finally went online to check the item out they saw that is was a lower price and they said they would beat it. They didn’t honor that. First they debated with me, threw calculated numbers which felt like that wanted to confuse me and then said they’d call me back and would work it out. They never called back. So after I spent $ 800(I had already paid) they were able to get away without having to price match the item which meant they got over on me for $ 20. I didn’t bother pursuing it. They can keep the $ 20. They just lost a customer. In the end It’s really a matter of who you want to support and give your business to. In today’s market Jacobson’s should realized customers are well informed and being deceptive is a bad business move. They loved telling me they’ve been in business for over 20 years but I think that desperate moves and tactics and salesmanship like this is from somewhere in the 50’s. doesn’t really work today. So I can’t recommend them. Call and talk to one of the salesmen and when it begins to start to sound like something you read on Unilocal at least you’ll know.

i like this place – yes, the workers(one in particular) is a little rude, and talks very fast but he knows everything about the appliances he’s selling. if he rubs you the wrong way, get over it because he is a valuble resource. prices are as low as you can go, and they stand behind what they sell. much better and more knowledgable then the losers at home depot or lowes. buy local!

The premise of this place isn’t to be a show room but rather provide discounted prices for appliances as well as a 3% sales tax rate. I’ve shopped there several times as have fellow coworkers from Merck. Do the research before you go there! Go in with the appliance make and model of interest to you along with th e best price you can find. Then, see if they can beat those prices. I used them for kitchen redo. Free delivery.

First and foremost, this business was a little tricky for me to find because I saw two separate building both with their name on it. There isn’t much of a «store-front», since they are a discount appliance center. I tried to find a parking lot to no avail, but luckily a spot on the street came easily. I came in here just to browse and price things out. First time buyer, although I was prepared to make a purchase if I saw something I liked at the right price. I was still in the initial stages of even deciding what I needed, liked or wanted. I came in and started looking at the refrigerators and their prices… loosely checking out their height and width. Then, I was cornered by an over-excited salesman. He was talking at me a mile a minute. He asked me the size of the room, to which I simply replied«small» and laughed. He then said: «You went to school right? You graduate high school?» WOW.are you really trying to insult MY intelligence with your broken English? Jeez, dude. I’m just here to check out what you got and for what price. Instead, I was insulted and belittled because I didn’t have the exact dimensions of a room where the fridge would be standing freely anyway.(We didn’t get to that part though, because I couldn’t get a word in edgewise) I wish I had stood up for myself at the time, but I left just feeling bewildered. and not realizing how insulted I had just been. I’m not sure if he even realizes that the way he acts is ridiculous(which is sad). Either that, or he just doesn’t care. I’m starting to think that it might have had something to do with the fact that I was a woman shopping solo. Well, I might be a girl, but I still have money to spend. Money that they will never get from me. And I didn’t find the prices to be so rock bottom to warrant enduring that kind of rudeness,
