Stephanie’s Bbq

This is not a 5 star restaurant, nor is it in a very popular area, but if you want great Latin American BBQ at a great price… You came to the right place! Maybe that’s why this place was packed 3 – 3 times over since I walked in the door and I saw quite a bit of take out bags leaving the counter for delivery!
Pork ribs, beef ribs, chicken rice and beans… Very inexpensive very good BBQ and I didn’t leave hungry. This is definitely a place to belly up to the table!

Worst place to order if u hungry I ordered food today thursday and they told me 40 mins at 8:45pm is 10pm and the food still not here

ok so i have been a stephanie’s fan for 5 years now… but unfortunately they raised the prices and lowered the standards of the food… I ordered a half order of bbq chickken & ribs… they gave me the half chicken and 2 BEEF RIBS… talk about stingy… before they used to give me 3 but they are being cheap not to mention the fries were undercooked and the rice couldve been lest saltier and boiled bad food for 17.00 STEPHANIE’S PLEASE STEP YOUR GAME UP ITS TOO MUCH COMPETITION IN ELIZABETH TO OVER CHARGE FOR WACK FOOD!

I love Stephanies, especially this location in Elizabeth. The food is always very fresh & flavorful. The rice is a little blah but still good. The chicken, ribs & plantains are my go to when getting lunch here. My only complaint is how when you ask for ketchup you’re lucky if you get 3 packets and never expect more than 1 of the hot sauce or BBQ. When ordering the ½ order of ribs you get like 7 pcs… what is one small BBQ cup doing for me? I would give it a 3 or 3.5 based on how cheappp they are with the condiments but… I order from there too frequently.

Ordered a whole chicken and whole pork ribs. The ribs are literally cut in half. The quality of food is not there. Will not order again.

In my reviews I’ve talked about how in college my Dad says he used to rate places based on «CHEAP, LOTS AND GOOD» but you could rarely ever find all three. And Stephanie’s BBQ seems to live up to that. For about $ 14 I got a huge platter of rice, fries and BBQ chicken/​ribs that would’ve been enough to feed both of my friends and me. Unfortunately, the food was complete crap. The meat was greasy and disgusting. I could only finish a small piece of the chicken. The fries were decent, but soggy. And the rice was fine, but there was just so much of it.
I know I’m being complain-​y about this place, but it really grossed me out. I’m sorry, but I’d have preferred quality over quantity and would not return.

Must try the Beef Combo. The ribs are amazing!

Good food, fast. Never been let down at Stephanie’s. I am married a Portuguese woman and this place is legit.

There are plenty of places to get Portuguese Food in Elizabeth. When I’m looking for bbq chicken, ribs or garlic chicken, I’m coming here.
Cheap, fast, good.

I have sampled all of the Portugese BBQ’s in E-​town. Stephanie’s locks it down! For $ 11 you can get a whole chicken, french fries, and rice. The chicken really is delicious. Has a little crisp on the edges and wings, so tender around the breast, and seasoned to perfection. I love how it has that little tobasco bite in there too.
Fries can be soggy, so I try to pick it up when I order. The key to keeping the fries legit is poking holes in the foil wrapping to vent that steam. Last but but not least is the rice. I am so picky when it comes to rice. It is fine. All I can say really. It’s not mine but it is fine.
If you plan on parking to go in prepare to have an issue. It’s on a block that leads to RT 1&9 which is a pretty busy highway. You probably will not get a spot right in front so either park a little before Stephanies if you can or double park real fast while you run in. Might seem like a bit much but if churrasqueira is what you’re in the mood for it’s worth it.

I must say I lost faith in Stephanie’s because of the food, but recently changed it up and ordered the shrimp and garlic… You got me. It was delish.

Food is very flavorful and inexpensive. My family and I always stop by when we are around for take out. i always get the Super Combo whole order and you cant go wrong with that.

Great food, huge portions. A tray here can feed a small army.
