The Magic Fountain Ice Cream and Grill

Hidden Gem!!! Heard of the place and never thought it would live up to the expectation. Very impressive. Grilled chicken salad was excellent, can’t wait to go back.

Great spot to get a quick bite. I used to go all the time when I had summer school and would get a slice of pizza and a root beer. Definitely delicious. Their slushes are also very good and definitely a favorite in the summer time.

I work across the street at the hospital and every morning I stop by and have their wonderful employees fill me up with their freshly brewed coffee. Whenever I get the chance I try to order their breakfast sandwich, also delicious

The atmosphere built around it is a family feel and all around down to earth place.
Prices and portion size is always the same.
When I would stop by (when in High School) my go to meal would be their slushies and chili cheese fries.
Of course everything on their menu I have tried but if you are looking to indulge get this dish and it’ll leave you wanting more!
From the staff to the people who stop regularly, you’d want to stay forever.

A gem stuck in the middle of back roads and business districts in Elizabeth, this place is «magic» for sure. Filled with kitschy, over the top cartoon characters of burgers and fries on the walls and 50s style posters along the counter, The Magic Fountain is a bit of a throw back burger joint.
I had the Santa Fe salad that was generous all around. The chicken had great flavor and the veggies were all fresh. Big shout out to any place offering sides of plantains (and really good ones at that). They also have sandwiches, burritos, soups (my girlfriend LOVED the creamy tomato), and sides.
Breakfast is served until 10:30, and I’ll absolutely be back to try something from that menu. I feel like they are tops at breakfast sandwiches.
There’s also an ice cream stand built into the restaurant opposite from the main food counter. It offers everything from scoops to sundaes, to novelty bars. The banana split is still calling my name. Another day you beautiful pile of dairy and fruit bliss!

The food is good, but the prices are a bit on the high side, even when the food is on special for the day.

I have tried many of the items in the menu and they get it right every time. The thing that I order the most is the Santa Fe salad with Balsamic dressing (I would buy the dressing if they would sell it, it’s really good).
They have daily specials (make sure to order early because they usually sell out by dinner time). Their fires are great, sandwiches, burgers and Ice cream.
The staff is helpful and delivery is fairly fast.
You won’t regret eating here.

I’ve been coming here before it became a fancy smancy place. The only thing that has changed is the building. It is still amazing.
My favorite thing to get: Small soft vanilla in a cup with black cherry topping.
The food is awesome too. It is a great place to grab something is you are at the hospital (next door) or just hungry. They have great specials.

I asked other patrons whether they liked the food and they all said they eat here whenever they can. lots of uniformed officers, health care workers from nearby hospital
had a terrific burrito special. great quac, good prices. I’ll be back whenever I have the urge for good grille and in the neighborhood
