I had dinner on a Saturday night two weeks before Christmas. It was not very crowded but had to wait 20 mins to be seated(party of 5) We asked for a table not a the habachi grill. That request was ignored. Had to wait on waitress, grill cook, and check. 2 stars Had the calamari appetizer. It was fairly bland but okay. 3 stars Salad and soup was average. Maybe a little to heavy on the ginger dressing. A little watery on the soup. 2 stars Had the chicken/shrimp, veggies, and rice. Typical average habachi grill fare. Again nothing special. 3 stars California roll. Okay. 3 stars Price: $ 35 for two with no drinks. About average for similar restaurants. Bottom line: average habachi food that can be found most anywhere, much too long of wait for table, food, and check.

We came in for something different then just eating on post the whole time. We sat at one of the Hibachi Grills and we had a good time. The food and service was average, the chef was funny. It is pretty small inside, we got lucky and walked straight to a table and ordered dinner. The waitress was a little spacy at times but we got our food and drinks.

Good food, but bad service. There was a bug in my sake. The server took the cup, dumped the bugged sake out and brought the empty cup back to me. She didn’t understand why I wasn’t happy with that, so she brought me a clean cup. She finally got someone who spoke better English so I could explain that I wanted the sake they threw out replaced. They acted like I was being ridiculous about the whole thing, even though I was really nice about it.

I brought my family here. We had a great time. The soup and salad was good and we had interesting sushi combinations for appetizers. Service wasn’t bad and they kept our glasses full and the hibachi Chef was pretty entertaining as well. I had the Hibachi filet mignon and mussels with salmon

On the 4th of July we had dinner at this restaurant and unfortunately there weren’t any fireworks going on in my mouth when I ate the food. Whilst the Hibachi Cook was entertaining the food fell short in terms of flavor. The soup was bland, the salad was drowning in dressing, way too much rice, not enough veges and the chicken and mahi mahi dishes were overcooked.

First off my family was asked to sit to the side and then was forgotten. Now we have not eaten yet and have been seated for over 40 minutes. I am sitting a hibachi grill the is unbearably warm. I have have watched the group that was seated instead of my family get fed and have left and yet here I sit. A good note my glass of tea has stayed full. UPDATE: We left after an hour of waiting and the manager was upset with us for leaving and only paying for the drinks. If you want hibachi drive to Samurai in Bowling Green.

I am 17 and my boyfriend, 18 we decided for our date we would eat out. Out of all the places to eat in Elizabethtown, we chose Ginza, despite what people say about it. The food was good, although very quit on a Tuesday dinner rush. We finish our meal and we get up to pay($ 48.50) nothing that would break the bank. they told me that my boyfriends credit card was declined. I was okay I’m accepting of that. So I gave them my Credit card(which I had recently put $ 130 in my account 2 days prior) so I knew with out a doubt they’re was money in there. They also declined my card, so I had to drive all the way over to my bank and withdraw X amount. when your going to Ginza make sure you have cash!(apparently they need the cash and I didn’t leave a tip.

I’m glad I am finally able to leave a good review for this place! A few years ago I stopped going here because my order was wrong every time I visited. Once another local sushi place started having the same issues and their prices skyrocketed I wanted to give Ginza another shot. This place is back! When I first moved to E-town this was my go-to sushi place. My husband’s family knew the owners and it was just where we always went for Japanese. The food was great… until it wasn’t.(I’ve heard ownership changed at least once, maybe twice?) It’s been probably 2 – 3 years since then. Now, the food is back to being delicious! And the servers are so much friendlier! Love their sushi rolls, everything is always very fresh! Salmon nigiri, Philly, and Sunday Morning are my go-to rolls. My husband is a little more adventurous and tries a little of everything — no complaints in the past six months since we started coming back! Their fried rice is better than other Japanese places in town and so is their goyza.(Steamed, not fried.) Sometimes we find ourselves here a few times a week. If you’re looking for Japanese in E-town this is the restaurant you want.

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in E-town. Prices are good, service is always top of the line and food is always good. They can get crowded at times, but that is a good problem right?

Called two hours to reserve a section for 20 people. Got there and they said I didn’t call to make a reservation. I don’t like being called a liar. Git there with my party we were accommodated and to a room which seated 20 comfortable. It was 8pm they ran out of beer and reisling. The food and hibachi chefs were great. Not sure if I will return

This place is horrible! If I could give negative stars I would… The staff is not trained and they make the simplest request monumental. The management is non existent. If you ask for a manager they all look at you with that lost deer in headlights look. With no one taking the initiative to resolve the issue. Will never return!!! Don’t bother with this place

I have been here about 10 – 15 times. Sometimes with large groups,(6 – 8) and sometimes just 2. I’m not much if a sushi guy but folks I have gone with have said good things. I love the grill. Always get great food, even when busy, although if it is busy it does seem like they are rushing a bit. Additionally, on slow nights it may take a bit to get going since they try to fill a section before they start. I could eat their rice all day. Get a lot of the house«sexy sauce» ummm!

My soup was cold and everything was WAY to salty. We were rushed through our meals and given boxes before we had a chance to even eat our meals. I’ve eaten at a lot of hibachi restaurants and this one ranks pretty low for me. I was not impressed and doubt that I will ever go back.

Went here for Valentines. Food was good. They were completely full of patrons. Had to order appetizer 5 times & got it in the middle of the meal. We were stuck in a tiny room & all I could think was if there were a fire we’d be killed because there was no escape. As soon as the show was over they gave us about 5 minutes to eat and then they brought the food boxes to politely tell us to hit the bricks.

Biggest complaint is the actual restaurant. They need to remodel and upgrade!!! Other than that their hibachi is delicious. I had my first bento box here and it was good. As far as sushi I am no expert and have only tried a few varieties but the Playboy Roll is absolutely delicious. I also like the Sunday Morning roll which is a fried version. Employees are a little difficult since they don’t speak excellent English but I have never had them get my order wrong. Either way the food I get is worth the price I pay.

Want to start with I have never been to a hibachi & sushi restaurant before. But the service was great and the waitress was extra helpful when I got a bit overwhelmed with the sushi choices. There are soooo many! :) I got a steak teriyaki Bento box entrée and my husband got the chicken teriyaki meal. The meal sizes are huge! And the bento box had such a amazing assortment. The deep fried veggies were a little bland but everything else… YUM!!!

I don’t get to Elizabethtown very often and when I do I’m not usually with very adventurous eaters, so I was very happy when I was finally able to try this place. My expectations weren’t too high since it is E-town, but I must stay I was impressed with their sushi. Not knowingly, I ordered two deep fried sushi rolls so I’ll pay more attention next time, but both rolls tasted good(and fattening!). My boyfriend had the hibachi with swordfish and a couple other meats. I’ve never had swordfish before and according to him, this wasn’t good swordfish. I thought it was a bit chewy but the other meats were good. I always have this complaint but it never fails that I’m always finished with my sushi before the other person even gets their food from the hibachi. I need to make a mental note of this so we can eat together. I’m not sure I’d make a special trip to E-town for Ginza but it’s definitely good for the area.

I’m going to agree with Francesca and say it’s an okay meal. We came in about 30 minutes before closing and since there really weren’t any steak places in the area we came here for hibachi. Unfortunately, the hibachi place was about to shut down but they said the dishes could be done in the kitchen without the show. The food was okay I got the steak and scallops which were all right, the steak was overdone and not quite tasty. The scallops were okay. My girlfriend’s filet was better, cooked correctly and a lot better than whatever steak I ordered. We also ordered a spicy roll as an appetizer which was okay, it was basically a mayo sushi roll. Okay, but that’s to be expected. I think I would be more impressed if I maybe saw more of a show, but the food wasn’t enough to warrant a return visit. I shouldn’t expect much in the way of Elizabethtown, KY’s Japanese cuisine.
