If there was a rating for negative star, it would be a negative –2 stars. The hair salon is terrible. I had an appointment when the stylist Jenny ruined my hair. I told her I did not want red… that is the color of highlights I received. I told her I wanted a bob… I got layers and no style. She even made me fold the foils to help her with my coloring. The bad part is I asked for a very experienced aveda stylist and this is what I got. When I complained to one of the owners, I was told they would fix. However, I had to wait 2 weeks and then when I called today the receptionist said if I canceled(by the way I have strep throat and I am contagious) she said it would be too late to fix. This is the worst Aveda salon I have ever been to. I wonder if the Aveda corporate people understand how this salon is ruining their name. I am willing to pay for services and have been know to pay over $ 200 dollars for a good cut in other cities I have lived. This is very expensive for the type of service you get. I will never go back here and suggest YOU do not either. I will go to Louisville for any professional services in the future these guys are definitely unprofessional!

I have to say the pedicure I got was very good and they even took the time to run the cleaning cycle on the footbath which was something I had never seen done before. My manicure was by a esthetician who wanted to be helpful but really needed to stick to her true calling. She couldn’t paint well and drove me crazy with her placating voice. I found the place a little difficult to deal with mainly because they first told me they had no openings but to check back later because of computer difficulties. Which was fine… then they came up with someone to do my nails. She was not a regular nail tech and as I mentioned above it showed. While she was doing my nails the normal nail tech was doing another ladies nails and we were all four stuck in a room meant for 2. Then the real problems started. Apparently my nail lady took to long and threw off the normal nail ladies schedule as well as her own facial schedule. They were trying to rush her and then me out. If I go back it will be on a scheduled visit with the normal nail tech who did my pedicure. She was much better and I am sure it would be alot smoother if it was planned better.

My first experience was great and relaxing. My 2nd time was approx 3 weeks later from the first for a waxing service. Although I’ll give my specialist props on making the effort to be thorough it shouldn’t take a whole hour! I had a wax service done that in all other places I’ve gone in the past in HI&CA the longest was maybe 20 minutes. The disappointing thing was when I asked what the price would be for«touch-up» it would be the same! That was strike 2! I’ve been told that the staff is mistreated. Although I never got that impression from the staff directly and never felt like I was in a poorly desireable location it has made me leary from returning. I wouldn’t mind going back for another facial or massage but until someone tells me for sure that their staff gets top notch treatment I don’t intend on returning.
