L’Amour Nails & Spa

I used to love going to this nail salon. They use to have the best techs but who have all left. When I was told that none of them worked there anymore, I went ahead and tried someone else. he totally destroyed my nails by using a drill. He cut into my nail bed and cuticles which lead to a fungal infection in two nails. I tried to tell him to be careful that he was hurting me with that drill. He did not listen or care. I will never return there!!! Then there is the issue of gift cards. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THEIR GIFT CARDS!!!! I have $400.00 worth of gift cards my family purchased for me at Christmas 2018 and 2019. I was told they were no longer good. I was in such disbelief!!! I explained that I had many health issues and surgeries to where I could not come in and then covid hit to where they were closed. My past experience with the previous techs I used, understood my health issues and surgeries. They would always let me use the out-of-date ones. Now with the experienced techs gone, and also their understanding concerning my health, there is absolutely no reason for me to ever go back. I have also told my family to never buy me gift certificates from an individual company. Just buy me Visa cards or any other charge cards. Just for your information, I also had gift cards from my hair salon that was out dated, and they accepted them!!! That told me the nail salon did not care what so ever

Normally I love coming here but they have done me wrong now. I drive just under an hour to come here to get my nails done because I liked them so much. I asked for ombré French nails and got an epic fail but after spending over 2 hours getting them done and having back issues I couldn’t sit there any longer. I asked for some kind of refund and was denied because it was a service they already provided. A crappy service might I add. And since that’s how they feel then perhaps I won’t be tipping them any longer because to me a tip is for the service and the cost is for the product. So now I will have to return so they can fix it and spend half a tank of gas getting there and going home. Not a happy camper. It’s an isolated incident so I will see how it goes in the future, but just beware. They will not refund even if their service doesn’t hold up or is not up to par.

Recently moved here and needed a fill, I saw a server at a local restaurant who had the cutest nails and she recommended this location. I walked in to several people sitting and waiting but I was taken within 10 minutes and had a great fill on top of a really cute design. I’m very picky about my nails and am happy so far!!!

I went here on 18 March for a pedicure and had a good experience. The tech was not very talkative, but she was efficient — which was fine by me. The water temp was perfect, the regular pedicure was very nice, including the massage and the scrub. Tempted to try one of the higher-​priced pedis next time and see how it is. I just had plain polish, not design, but it was well done. Polish is holding up nicely, despite the fact that I’m pretty hard on my feet and wear boots in my daily life.
Parking seemed like a bit of a nightmare, but I realized when I came out that it was because someone was parked in what was NOT a parking spot. Would definitely recommend trying to enter the parking lot from the side street rather than Dixie Hwy.
I will be back.

Not deserving of a one star, got s manicure and they rushed and acted like they just wanted me out of the chair. My mom also got her nails done and they used a drill to get gel off her nails and absolutely destroyed her nails after repeatedly asking them to not use the drill. Will not return.

I have been to this establishment three times (mostly for convenience) and every time it has been disastrous. First let me start off by saying that the décor and atmosphere are certainly a plus. I found it interesting the number of young adults that work in the shop. I think the owner certainly wanted a younger feel to the business and it worked because the music is great and they have great conversation about pretty much everything young adults are into.
However, every time I’ve had my nails done, it’s been by one of the young men who’ve essentially rushed through the manicure and/​or pedicure. The job looks as if a 10 year old had a paint party. Something as simple as the brush stroke was completely off. Short and patchy… extremely weird. The end result is uneven color, polish on my cuticle, no polish on the side of the nail, etc.
Although, it’s a pretty cool establishment, the three techs that I’ve used all seem to be extremely inexperienced. They also didn’t care listen when I told them I didn’t want or like certain things. They just did it anyway.
I’d highly recommend not using this nail salon. I’m highly disappointed and they are truly the worst that I’ve ever used.

I had a much needed pedicure and with all the horror stories and bad experiences in the Fort Knox area I was suprised at how well this place was set up as well as the outstanding customer service. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone

I needed a mani-​pedi and saw their sign for a grand opening discount so I thought I would give them a try. When I went in, someone told me that it would be a few minutes and to please wait. I sat in their waiting area in very uncomfortable straight-​back chairs with hot sun beating down on them through the glass. It was a full half hour before I was taken to be seated in a pedicure chair. Despite the huge number of empty pedicure chairs in the salon, I was seated in between two other women receiving pedicures. Very lukewarm water was run in the basin and I was told that it was as hot as it got. I sat for a full 20 minutes before my pedicurist came over to start my service. By then the water was cold and rather than run fresh lukewarm water, she just added some soap to the water. By then the women next to me were finished and the dirty remains of their pedicures along with the remains of several other pedicure stations nearby just sat there through my whole pedicure: dirty soaking basins, towels, cotton pads, etc. Disgusting! My pedicurist had an icy-​cold personality, never introduced herself, smiled, or spoke to me except the few words needed to tell where to put my feet. I realize that there may be a language barrier, but the owner should ensure that service providers in a predominantly English-​speaking community are able to say hello, how are you, my name is _​_​_​, and specific things like is the water warm enough, etc. Most of the actual pedicure was OK, except where the leg massage was done riculously hard with a grainy scrub. My feet have rough spots, not my shins and calves! How about doing the foot and leg massage with lotion so it is pleasant like every other pedicurist everywhere does! I chose a dark burgundy polish and the results were spotty with areas on some nails much sheerer than others. One big toenail was cut straight across and the other was rounded. Places on the bottom of my feet were rough again within a day. I can do better with a pumice stone from a dollar store. The manicure was fine, nothing special. I chose a medium pink polish and once again the application was uneven and streaky. I was sent to dry my nails at their drying station that had lights and fans, but none of the fans were running. No one was nearby to ask if they should be turned on. No one asked if I was happy with my services. There is a sort of bar in the salon with seats and some refreshments on display, but it is not clear if they are free, or if not, what they cost. This should be made clearer. While I was having my manicure, a woman came in who seemed to know some of the staff and seemed to have styrofoam containers of food for one of the manicurists. Rather than asking her to leave them in the front or back of the salon, he engaged her in lengthy conversation and the food was set down by the manicure station. If I was that customer, I would have been mad. The owner should not allow personal business to be conducted while a manicurist is with a customer. The décor! Wow. I guess everyone’s taste is different and other reviewers seem to think it is pretty. It looks to me like 1980s cheap Hollywood glam which is to say it is so over the top and gaudy as to be worth a look just to see how much mismatched stone, marble, crystal, wood, and gewgaws can be crammed into a space. I prefer a space that is fresh, open, serene, spa-​like, relaxing and professional. I will be looking for a salon like this among the many, many nail salons in the area. As a new salon, L’Amour had the chance to capture me as a client for services every two weeks for years to come and for thousands of dollars plus lots of referrals with their thousands of dollars each year, but they blew it with lack of attention to basic customer service and quality of service. I just read the other bad review and I suggest that the owner decide to provide a refund or free corrective service to everyone who asks for it or they are not going to have any return customers or referrals which are the bread and butter of a nail salon. There are a LOT of nail salons in the area, your customer service and responsiveness to problems need to be impeccable and they are far from it!

I have had gel nails for months at another salon and decided to try L’Amour the technician talked about how my last place had done my nails poorly because there were not enough coats and were not cured enough I got a pretty nude color. .everyone raved over them then after 10 days I woke up to find my nails black at the tips for sbout s half inch and around the grown out edge of the gel… I went in they redid mu nails charging me full price snd talking me into a dark red color… told me if it happened again come in because they would fix it…4 days later the same thing happened and I went in and the same guy was at the desk and said that’s weird… we can take thrm off or redo them… I said id paid 60 bucks in 3 weeks for gel and wanted them off for free… he told me no they would charge me full removal price… they would not negotiate even though th r y agreed this shouldn’t happen… id not had my hands in anything but shampoo and soap showering the pedicure id had didnt ladt 2 weeks and its winter toes have been in socks the whole time salon is pretty but dont waste your money… going across town to my old salon whats 10 mins more travel

I couldn’t help but stop in while passing by. I’m in KY for a few weeks and was in desperate need of a mani/​pedi. The place is absolutely beautiful inside. You can really tell the owners but a lot of time, effort, and money into making this a great salon. I expected the prices to be higher with how nice it is in here. Everyone was nice and even offered drinks. There are 4 big screen televisions on the wall and soft music playing in the background. I would definitely recommend. My toes and nails were done well and looked great! Large selection of polish colors to choose from.
