i have always admired aldi for their business practices, simple but productive and teaches basic shopper responsibilities 101… items are in boxes, then empty boxes are used by customers(or you can bring your own bags)…although, i admit that i don’t shop here often(which i will try to change)…there are lots of great buys but there are few items that are more expensive compared to more well known grocery stores… i checked out the other day paying $ 67(i would normally pay roughly $ 150 at other stores or $ 200 at whole food)…example: same brand condensed milk — $ 1.90 at H-Mart, $ 1.69 at jewel, $.67 at aldi… cash or debit cards only… outside, you will notice that all the carts are neatly parked in rows even though there isn’t a staff on site… did the cart ferries magically organized them when no one is looking? or is this some sort of black aldi magic… go and investigate for yourself…

I’m an avid Aldi shopper(including in Germany) this store was nice and clean and its meat & produce selection was comparable to the other Chicago locations I’ve been too. Not super crowded at lunch time was a bonus. It is a bit tricky to find as it is located in the Same strip mall and on the South End of Staples & Home Depot. There are helpful signs to get you there.
