Unbelievably small portions from this particular Chipotle. I was also served by a Hispanic/American woman 45 minutes before closing who looked like she wanted to kill herself, and that effect wore off onto me. It was a scary feeling there, and made me feel judged by just ordering. After ordering i saw that my burrito was incredibly small, maybe the size of my fist if even. I question the server if this was normal(which i knew wasn’t because i have been to chipotle countless times) and she says, «yes, it is normal thank you for ordering.» In a very disgusting and rude tone. I also saw that her co-workers saw this but did not act upon this. WOULDNOTRECOMMENDTHISCHIPOTLE.

2nd time in a row I was given barely any meat. I’m not the type to ask for a full scoop of meat after its already been scooped, I’d rather just come on here and let people know to watch out for this treatment. I was literally given half a scoop of meat. I think it’s wrong and I feel they are taking advantage of the customer. It seems as if some of the workers can not handle the lunch rush and this is a major source of decline in customer satisfaction.

I’ve been to this location several times hoping for something better and always walk away disappointed. I always seem to get the last of the dried out steak and there’s always too much rice. When I ask for double meat, they add less than half a scoop. Even the veggie bowl feels light. Everyone is friendly enough, but they actively provide smaller portions than any other location I’ve visited.

Not sure what her name is because no one here has a badge or anything to identify them by, but the Woman with the blue hair is by far the fastest and friendliest person here!

Terrible service. Food was cold and they forgot part of the order. My fault I guess I shouldn’t expect them to be intelligent. This is why I go to Qdoba. Never again.

Huge Chipotle lover here! This location in Elk Grove has to be one of the worst. You owe it to yourself to witness this place firsthand. Well, maybe you should read some reviews first. 1. Terribly skimpy portions. Where else can you order a burrito and still be hungry? 2. Dirty tables and floors. 3. Tables outside in summer are never cleaned. 4. Constantly out of iced tea. 5. Condiment area not stocked– frequently have to ask for forks, straws, lids, etc. Altogether a poorly managed/maintained/run restaurant.

Friendly location. Food is fresh and delicious. Chipotle is one of those places I can eat at 2x/week if not more and enjoy it every time.

This is the first review I’ve ever posted on Unilocal, and I only do so because I felt it was absolutely necessary. Today I placed an online order around 11:30am to be picked up at 12:15pm. A lot of times I do rapid pickup at the Panera across the street and am thrilled with their service which is always ready to go when I arrive, so I was hoping for a similar experience from Chipotle. I was meeting my parents there for lunch since they are headed to Florida for vacation and said I would meet them there and grab us a table since all I had to do was walk in and grab my food. I had paid for my meal online already, so if it was ready on time I should have been able to just walk in, show them my ID, and grab us a table. When I arrived my parents were still in line(about halfway back) so I gestured to them that I would get my food and get us somewhere to sit. There was one pick-up order in front of me that still needed to pay so I was patient and understanding with the staff. However, even after she left with her order, I continued to wait so long for my small order(a burrito bowl and a drink) that my parents actually made it through the line and were able to sit down and start eating before I ever got my food. I arrived there at 12:12pm and didn’t get my food until 12:23pm(yes, I watched the clock because the food should have been ready on time). I know 8 minutes shouldn’t seem like a long time and that they are super busy at lunch, but when you place an online order it’s usually because you are in a hurry and only have a certain amount of time for lunch. That 8 minutes seemed super long as I watched like 20 people in line get their food before me, while I had placed my order 45 minutes before them… And to top it off, the only thing I received for the long wait on my food was a «Sorry for the wait.» I feel like if you don’t have an order ready ONTIME(like you are agreeing to for online orders) that there should be some sort of system in place to get your customer satisfaction back after you don’t fulfill your requirements as a company(like a voucher or gift card or something to say sorry we didn’t come through for you as we should have). Anyways, I wish I could have given this a better review but this was super poor service in my opinion. When you have an online ordering service as a company, you should have those orders ready to go when promised. End of story.

I don’t usually go out of my way to review chain restaurants but this place is a step above the rest. The food is just as good as any other Chipotle, but what sets them apart is their service. The staff is friendly and attentive! I’m in here pretty regular and the regular staff makes an effort to remember you and make you feel like they appreciate your business. I like having somewhere like that in my town.

This Chipotle is HORRIBLE… I mean HORRIBLE. Everything about it. I will never come back here again! It needs to be shut down for training and new management. But I will be going to Streets because I do love Chipotle.

I generally try not to post reviews on chain restaurants, but this chipotle is stellar & something needed to be said! A friend and I came here about a month ago on a Monday night, a few hours before closing. Walking in all the guys behind the counter greeted us with fabulous enthusiasm. They made our food perfectly, and loaded our tacos with cheese. Chipotle cheese is the way to our hearts! The guys had great attitudes, which you don’t always find at the end of the day in restaurants!

This particular Chipotle has gotten so much worse in the recent years. The only reason I’m even bothering in writing this review is because I noticed that this particular review page has reviews that have been deleted. Particularly: bad ones. Whether it is this Chipotle location or Unilocal administration, that is unacceptable and down right insulting. Reviews should be used to HELP the business improve, or let them know what they’re doing right. You can’t just throw them under the rug. Despite that, on to the actual review. This place was the first Chipotle I’ve ever been to and I’ve had some fond memories of it. I used to go here every Monday in my senior year of high school back in 2010 – 2011. Me and my friends loved going here. I slowed down on going there since I graduated and went to Aurora University. But back then, I remember their chicken and their steak being perfectly cooked. Their rice was just as perfectly cooked, not at all crunchy. Even the peppers you can get as an option were very nicely cooked. Not only that, but the employees looked like they seemed to enjoy their job and were very kind. Now lets cut to about 3 years later; November of 2014, which will be my last visit to this Chipotle. I went in around 4 pm after getting home from a long trip. I go inside and the line and customers are non-existent. I approach the front and tell the employee I want a steak burrito. The employee goes off in the back after asking this and doesn’t come back. I was there for about 3 minutes before someone came over and actually helped me out. While I was waiting I decide to look at the actual food. It looks like the counter was splattered with salsa, steak, chicken, guacamole. It looked like the kids table at Thanksgiving dinner. A lot of the food was also mixing in with other stuff, which is rather risky for people with allergies. It looked as if the salsa was mixed with the others. There was quite a bit of medium salsa in the hot salsa and guacamole in the mild. Once another employee replaced the other employee, she asks me what I want. Once again, I tell her I wanted a steak burrito. She begins to prepare it. It was a generic deal. She asked me what rice, what beans, and what meat I wanted. To be fair on the meat part, its good that she wanted to be sure she heard the right order. So I ‘ll give the employee that much. The entire time she was asking me what I wanted though, she just sounded so miserable. Like she didn’t want to be there and was acting like I was just wasting her time. I decided that I would like a little more meat and so I ask for it. She literally puts two extra pieces of steak on the burrito. At that point I just knew it was going to be bad. I just told her«never mind. If you’re just going to ration it out so poorly, just take it off.» She just scoffs, groans, and scrapes off the two extra pieces she put on. The rest of the preparation went without much problem. nothing that was mixed in with the other stuff on the counter got into what I got. So that was pretty nice of her to do. She rings me up, I pay and I get home. Overall the experience at this chipotle was horrible enough to make me give this Chipotle a low review. Then I took a bite of the burrito. My mouth was filled with an over cooked tortilla, crunchy rice, and chewy dry and over cooked steak. It was by far the worst burrito I’ve ever gotten from Chipotle. It was like I was eating something from taco bell it was that bad. I haven’t been back since and that’s definitely for the better. It’s not like they were the only Chipotle within a 20 mile radius. There are two that are just as close to me as that one was. I will be doing my business at those locations from now on. Unless I hear this place actually improves or start to take reviews seriously instead of deleting them. Advice to the people who actually read these reviews before going to a restaurant: Go to either the Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg, or Randhurst location. You will get a significantly better experience overall. The employees are happy there, and the food is fantastic at each of those locations. Go there. Don’t go to the elk grove location.

Management in this location is obviously VERYVERY poor. Communication is terrible, organization is horrendous. Family member went through four interviews and called multiple times to follow up. Dealt with three different managers and multiple employees. Was disconnected on the phone multiple times, and on the final call(after being told repeatedly a manager would call back) was told«we went with someone else have a good day» and hung up. Seriously? Get some new management. Despicable.

Only this location: They forgot to pack in my salsa. The chips were very old and not crunchy at all. And there was a piece of chicken in my guacamole cup for the chips. Extremely disgusting. Not going back.

went there yesterday — my kid kid drops his taco on the floor so i went back in line to buy him another one — cashier asked if all was OK, i told her the story — she made another taco and insisted that i don’t pay — now that deserves a better updated review.

To start, this is a review of this particular Chipotle location… Overall, love Chipotle! Their food is fresh and I can get a Chicken bowl and not carry guilt with me all day because I splurged. Love the seasoning on their chicken and that their salsas have a nice kick.(On that note, I’ve stopped going to Qdoba for that reason… not enough spice!) Here’s my deal though: the portioning here is always SO inconsistent!!! Some days I walk out with a nice, heaped bowl and other days it seems like it’s hardly half full. I have no idea what the true portion is supposed to be at this point and it’s incredibly frustrating. I have to ask myself most of the time if I’ve gotten my money’s worth or if I’ve just gotten a great deal. There are other little things that are concerning… employees eating chips out of the bin in the backbar area right in front of customers and I also once witnessed an employee take the garbage out with his food prep gloves on and then proceed to come in and work the food bar without washing his hands or changing his gloves. Ew.

The music is so incredibly loud. I think it’s intentionally done so people will not camp for too long. My booth is vibrating from the loudness. This causes people to elevate their voices and it gets even louder, making it difficult to have a decent conversation. This ultimately leads to people preparing the orders to make mistakes as what has happened to me numerous times; they do not hear exactly what I say and then they get my order wrong. Never mind bringing children in here, they’ll get blasted by the music. I’ve been to other Chipotles where it was nowhere as loud as this. The food is fine, tastes fresh and not greasy. Not greasy is good because with the increased blood pressure from the blasting music, every bit helps. When it gets really busy in here the brown rice gets undercooked and ends up being a little hard and sometimes crunchy. The people running the rice cookers disregard the longer cooking time for brown rice as opposed to white rice. One time they were training someone on how to roll burritos and it happened to be my burrito they were training on. It took me 10 minutes to get rung up. Food = healthy Price = moderate to a good value Atmosphere = horrible I recommend coming here strictly for take out orders or bring ear plugs.

For me, Chipotle is about a once a year thing. I love the taste of the food. Typically, I’ll get a burrito with either steak or chicken, but I chose carnitas this time. Chipotle serves enormous burritos. The portions are really huge — gluttony at it’s finest. When I do go there, I typically eat about ½ of the meal, then eat the rest for lunch the next day. This time, I had a business meeting over lunch and without really thinking about it, I ate the whole thing. This was a problem. I’m a small person with a small stomach. Eating an entire Chipotle burrito is way too much for me. I’m afraid I suffered for the rest of the day teetering between wanting to fall asleep and from the discomfort of over eating. So, this is why I only go to Chipotle infrequently. I love the taste, but my eyes are bigger than my stomach and I leave in pain. This was certainly the case for this visit.

I love Chipotle. I like to think I’m a chipotle«expert» and anyone that knows me, knows we eat at chipotle about twice a week. I know they sometimes undercook their rice. I often end up with stale chips. The barbacoa can be fatty at times. The salsa sometimes is made with underripe tomatoes. This particular location is almost always the culprit of these issues. I eat at many locations and the Elk Grove location continues to let myself and my coworkers down. We don’t know why we keep going… perhaps it’s because we think maybe one day they will get it together but sadly, this day hasn’t come. I regret to say that I will no longer be spending me hard earned money at this location. Check out Talpalpa down the street!
