This business is a welcome change other tile stores. the people are extremely knowledgeable, experienced, helpful and friendly They are true professionals. I was looking for kitchen back splash tile and brought in a sample of my counter. Donna immediately knew what would compliment the counter without overpowering it. and she had great suggestions. They recommended an installer who promptly came to measure and was reasonably priced. This business was a bit far from my house, but it was worth the extra time getting there. I highly recommend Hawkinson Tile.

In general, I just like this place. Lots to choose from and the people are both nice and extremely helpful. My experience at other tile shops in the area pale in comparison to that at Hawkinson.
We worked with Rob to pick tile and plan for two bathrooms; a powder room and a guest bathroom with full-​tile shower. He listened to our wants and our concerns, and saved us a ton of time directing us to exactly what we were looking for. Also, since my husband was doing the installation, Rob was helpful in making suggestions of how to achieve the look we wanted.
Our ordering process went smooth, and even the company that did the delivery was above average in pleasantries and care for delicate cargo.
Their pricing was better than competitors in the area, for the same product and accent pieces. And really, with the customer service, you can’t compare the experience. So happy to return for a master bathroom remodel now!

This is a great tile store that has an experienced and knowledgeable staff that will listen to what you want and show you what they believe will be suited to your tastes. Rob was our salesperson and he was very helpful in helping us make selections. Although the store is in a small space, it has a ton of tiling in a lot of different styles and pricing. After lots of research, their pricing is pretty competitive and their customer service was instructive and personable. I would definitely go back.

This review comes a little late, but the experience merits posting a review, even almost 2 years after we first dealt with Hawkinson. This place beats the big name stores like Century Tile hands down. We wandered in on a fluke and were surprised when they had the hard to find slate that we’d looked for everywhere in Chicago. They stock many kinds of tile and stone and they’re available for design and installation as well, I believe — we did the work ourselves and they were still extremely helpful.
Alex (I think that was his name) was fantastic and always gave us the help we needed and didn’t make us feel like he was taking our wallets for a ride.
