As a kid my mom would order all of cakes from here, every cake weve ever ordered Ive loved.
Now I come in here and pick up random treats to bring to my coworkers in the morning. I like to pick up the coffee cakes and strudels. The last few times Ive picked up the chocolate chip strudel and its been a hit. Everyone loves it and by the end of the day its gone.

Fantastic selections! Creative cakes. Delicious, homemade authentic icing, best I’ve ever tasted. A must stop, must try when in Chicago.

I was planning my parents’ 50^th Anniversary so I needed a reputable bakery. A few people I know mentioned Jarosch’s Bakery. I went in to pick out a cake, Dan worked with me and was very helpful and patient. The cake turned out BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS. Honestly, the best cake I have ever tasted! I will be using Jarosch for all special occasions and fully recommend this bakery!

The most authentic Bavarian cream pastry you can get in the USA. Every year I treat myself to a Bavarian cream pastry, I watch my sugar intake, because I get fat easilyBavarian cream is one thing I always crave so I’m disappointed when the Bavarian is Vanilla boxed pudding and served at room temp. This experience was different, Bavarian cream was chilled and the pastry was fresh. I highly recommend the place is busy which says it all.

This is one of those times that after I tried it, I said «What have we been doing with our lives before?!» Jarosch Bakery is about 5 minutes from where I live and I just can’t believe I haven’t tried it before! I checked out the Unilocal reviews and when I arrived I could tell many other people agreed! The bakery was very busy and people kept coming in, but the service maintained its integrity. Even though there were a ton of people there, the line went pretty fast! Everyone was friendly and willing to help and explain what’s what. The selection is beyond massive. At first it was overwhelming, but when my husband made his decision, I quickly made mine. Everything smelled so amazing, it was hard not to eat it on the ride home! We ordered a plain danish, custard danish, and a pecan caramel roll. The danishes were perfectly crumbly and flavorful. I enjoyed my pecan caramel roll thoroughly– I can’t believe how many pecans they were able to roll into each of the tight crevices!!! Everything was beautifully presented and tasted extraordinary! I can’t wait to go back and to show all my family and friends!!!

I came here since it was only a few doors down from Tensuke and the sweets were calling my name. Their treats are not only beautiful, but delicious. They have all kinds of baked goods and ready made cakes for that last minute party gift. You better come early, though, because they’re closed at 630p M-​Th, 7p on Friday and 6p on Saturday. Closed on Sunday.

Awesome! Stopped on my way to Madison coming from O’Hare to get a birthday treat for my host. The bakery is 1 mile off highway — so convenient. The woman who waited on me was very helpful. We decided on a variety box of cupcake shots — perfect for a variety of tastes. EVERYONE loved them, from the 4-​year-​old to the 50-​something birthday girl! I strongly recommend this fabulous, old fashioned (in the best way) bakery!

This is one of those places where I’ve never actually visited but I’ve tried their baked goods because everyone brings them in at work.
I’ve never had a cake there but I can say that their danishes are A-​Ok! My favorite is the Almond danish.
If I were in the Elk Grove area I’d stop by to see what other goodies I could grab. I’m sure my waistline would LOVE that. haha

I have literally been getting my birthday cake from here for about 16 years now. It’s SOOO good. The cake is moist and their whipped cream frosting is out of this world. Perfectly sweetened. I always get the layered cake with one yellow, one devil with fresh strawberries and whipped cream frosting. My birthday/​any celebration would not be the same without a cake from Jarosch!
They also have amazing baked items at the store. Their coffee cake and cookies are perfection!

The older I get, the less of a sweet tooth I have. So when I see cookies in the office break room brought by generous co-​workers I usually just glance at the name of the company, have a small taste of whatever was brought and move on with my life. But someone brought in a box full of these turtle pecan shortbread cookies from Jarosch Bakery the other week and I about ate half the box. And then today, the mysterious person brought in another box with more of these said cookies and I was tempted to be selfish and dump the contents of the box into my work bag. The perfect size with the perfect amount of pecan and a big chocolate drop right on top. Amazing. And what’s even more amazing is that every time I look at the chocolate on top I think to myself that it will be too sweet, but it’s not. This cookie is good. This cookie is life.

Best bakery ever!!! You can’t find many bakeries like this anymore. So delicious! The butter cookies are my favorite!

Everybody raved about the birthday cake made especially for me by Jarosch. Thank you so much for taking my order at the last minute. (24 hours) It was so fresh and light and just delicious. Banana cake with pineapple preserves whipped cream filling and frosting. Excellent.

Excellent cake. The fruit was completely fresh and of great quality. I ordered a banana cake with fresh strawberries and bananas with custard filling and whipped cream topping. It was moist and not too sweet. Overall I was satisfied and would definitely recommend this bakery.

Stopped here for snacks for a customer. Short line, large assortment of sweets. Friendly staff!

Best bakery in the NW Suburbs period. Coffee cake recommendations… new look, almond, and chocolate chocolate chip. Wow… I’m getting hungry typing…

FANTASTIC BAKERY. 5 Stars!!! I live probably a good hour from elk grove village and typically 9nly head out the way to visit family, but I will occasionally drive out of my way for these cookies. They’re so delicious ans basically melt in your mouth! They have a large assortment. Take a number, there’s always a wait but it’ll be well worth it.
Also bought my mother a mother’s day cake from here once. Heart shaped cake with pink frosting, pink edible rose décor, and white writing. Not only was it fantastic looking from the outside, once you cut in to find a soft fluffy inside of vanilla/​yellow cake, you can feel your mouth watering. Yum!!!
Definitely a must go!!!

So… maybe I hit up Jarosch on a particularly bad bake day. Or maybe they changed up their turtle cookie recipe because they want to see what sad Nicole looks like. Either way, my last visit was a bummer.
My turtle cookies (I tried three) were not only teeny tiny, but the chocolate fudge dollop was dry and cakey like rather than smooth and delicious. And my pecans were burnt. Comon’ now.
On the bright side, I’m jazzed to sample their mini cheesecake because I just know it’s got to be much more fabulous than the sad turtle cookies.
So, Jarosch, you get a pass for having a great history but I’m really hoping next time those beautiful turtle cookies are back in action.

This is the only place I get my birthday cakes from. I always have vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. They decorate the cake adorably.
Only downside is that the entire store takes vacation for a week or two during the summer, usually during the day that it’s my birthday, so I have to plan around.

Four stars are NOT for the clerk who squeezed the whip cream out of our cream puff and gave us two special children’s cookies for our kids crammed into a tiny bag so the antler was broken off of the moose and his leg was missing! Not even in the bag so, you gave us a reject?! Ugh! Don’t do that again!
The cream puff was nice, though. Lots of whip cream!
