Whole Health Acupuncture

I had high hopes for this practice after reading so many positive reviews. Unfortunately I did not even make it past the waiting room. I arrived a few minutes early to fill out the paperwork so that I would be ready to go at my appointment time. 30 minutes after the appointment time I was still sitting in the waiting room. At that point I was done waiting and had no interest in continuing with my scheduled appointment. To be fair I had been told that I would be seen «in a few minutes» about 10 minutes past my appointment time. When 20 additional minutes went by I decided that this was not the right practice for me. If you are ok waiting well beyond your scheduled appointment time for your initial visit then perhaps you’ll be able to experience what the other reviews speak of.

Really helped with my carpal tunnel. Highly recommended if you are looking for alternative treatments.

I went for my first treatment the other day. I came away so energized and de-​stressed. Mike is wonderful. He takes time to talk and find out what you are hoping to get out of the treatments. I never felt pressured or rushed. The sliding scale makes it so that I can go weekly and get the full benefit of acupuncture.

I’ve been going for the last 3 weeks (2 x week) and the treatments have helped so much. Mike is really great and listens to your needs. He treated a neck/​shoulder issue that I had and it was gone within 2 treatments. I’ll continue to go for other issues because the price is so economical and the treatment really works!

Mike is awesome. I have been coming here to help manage my stress levels and it has been absolutely fantastic. I always leave feeling more relaxed and I feel much calmer between appointments, too.
The atmosphere is really great, the chairs are super comfortable, and you cannot beat the price level.

I came in for pain treatments after taking a nasty left hook while doing martial arts. Mike was fantastic at managing the pain until it healed. Very good bedside manner and very knowledgeable.

I was very happy with my treatments with Mike! He did a great job and really took the time to figure out what was wrong. He is patient and listens to your concerns and issues. I had such bad neck/​back problems and after 3 sessions I had most of my range of motion back, which was such a relief! I will definitely go back with any future issues I have!

Mike is really great. He listens really well, and the treatments have really helped me. I have digestive issues/​IBS, as well as chronic sinus problems, and acupuncture has been invaluable for me. Whole Health makes it really easy and affordable. My blood pressure is always lower after I go, too. I even brought my kids, who were a little scared at first, but Mike worked really well with them.

I found this from a Groupon I purchased, and am so glad I did! I’ve been going for about a month now, 2 times a week. The communal room is a good way to keep this affordable for people who really need the benefits of acupuncture. I am going for back and neck pain, and have been really seeing progress for a condition I’ve had for many many years. I am very happy. Mike is very knowledgable and the relaxing chairs, room and music make it very easy to chill and nap while getting a much needed service for your health. I will continue to see him, even when this condition is under control, just for the benefits of acupuncture for my health.

Mike is wonderful, knows what he is doing. I love this place, been going since 2010, it makes a world of difference for my digestive issues, neck and and overall well being. It really works!

I love Whole Health Acupuncture! It is a wonderful, peaceful place that I have been able to finally get some relief! I initally tried acupuncture to help easae some neck and shoulder pain but now I not only go for that but also for relief from anxiety! Ever since I started doing acupunture my anxiety levels have dropped ALOT. I am finally feeling a lot more like myself and able to enjoy life more!

I have been to Whole Health Acupuncture several times now, and it’s been great. The provider is very patient and skilled, and the back pain I had has almost completely resolved. This is a great resource in the suburbs. I plan to go every week and want to try the Tai Chi class. I don’t like needles but the treatment is effective.

A peaceful, professional place to get poked with needles. Sounds like an oxymoron, but it’s true: acupuncture is very relaxing and Mike has a deft touch with the needles. The online ( Unilocal and Foursquare) promotions are definitely worth checking out.

Great treatment center. I have been going for years, Sarah was amazing! Unfortunately, Sarah is not there anymore — she is at Neighborhood Acupuncture Place in Crystal Lake now. But Michael is there now and he is great, too. I was very skeptical of Acupuncture at first but it has relieved my back pain and I love that you can do it so cheaply — $ 15 a treatment!!!

I had a massage with Sarah and it was absolutely wonderful!
I had a lot of stress going on at the time and a hard tension knot at the base of my neck that would not go away after I tired icy hot, heat packs, having my husband massage it and ice packs. Nothing seemed to work and my mother-​in-​law suggested I get a massage from Sarah.
Sarah has a wonderful, healing touch during her massage and uses a variety of essential oils to help treat your concerns.
My tension melted away and I was able to relax completely during my treatment. I was sad when it was over and I felt like a new woman. The tension knot in my neck left and has not come back.
You can tell she cares about you as a client and wants to make sure your needs are met.
I have also had the opportunity to meet Kara and she is sweet, friendly and also has a passion for her profession.
I have yet to have an acupuncture treatment with these ladies, but my mother-​in-​law has gone for allergy treatments and has seen great results.
