Worst customer service EVER! I called to order some masa for tamales, the lady who picked up the phone and said that I couldn’t do that, I had to pick it up. I then went to the store and tried to order it, the lady said they wouldn’t have any until TWOHOURS. I asked to be put on a waiting list, the lady yelled, «No, no!» Threw her hands up and walked to the back of the store. NEVERAGAIN

Went in today for some tamales. A friend of mine had posted a pic the week before and commented on how good their tamales were. I truley was no to disappointed. The masa was flavorful, moist and delicious. Also inexpensive $ 1.50 per tamale. If your in Elk Grove, it’s worth the stop.

Today, we came here, and ordered a medium chile verde, medium beans, 2 drinks, and a small piece of candy. The total came to $ 15, and we thought to ourselves that this place was awesome because of the prices. Then, we came home and heated up the food. The chile verde sauce was great, but the meat tasted like rubber and we felt that it was unedible, so we threw it away. Then, we were still grateful that we had beans. When we tried them, they tasted sour and nasty, so we had to throw them out too. I’d say the best part of going here was the great prices but now I realize why they were so low. If I could give this place a half a star, I would, but that option isn’t available. All I know is I’m never coming back.

The carne asada here is the best I have found in Sacramento. Not the best I have had but definitely the best in Sac. Prices are reasonable and the people inside are friendly. Only being able to speak English and going into a primarily Spanish speaking store can be awkward. Not here these people were very nice and friendly. I try to make it out to this place at least once a month.

Had to get my oil changed at Big O Tires and saw this place right next door! Friendly owners, and I had an amazing shrimp super burrito. Extremely flavorful and huge for only $ 8! Awesome! Definitely recommend this place.

Living in Elk Grove is awesome, however it has always been difficult to find a Carniceria that offers authentic Mexican food. Being Mexican you just get so disappointed trying food and products that claim to be authentic. I discovered this hidden gem when I brought my car in to Big O Tires. At the time the place was called«La Morenita» and I fell in love with the products. About two months ago(January 2015) there was a change in ownership and the name changed to «Carniceria Lupita’s Market.» The marinated meat is delicious and I simply cant have meat from any other place. The carnitas are also delicious! I would even say that they are the best in Sacramento. Take this from someone who would travel all the way to woodland to find decent carnitas. The change in ownership has changed the place in a positive manner. The place looks very clean and orderly. Also, the owner is bringing in the popular Mexican foods and treats like bionicos, fresas con crema, doraditos, etc. They offer a plate of the day for five dollars and the best part is Taco Tuesday when they have $ 1 tacos! I means who doesn’t love tacos, especially when they are that cheap and delicious! The new owner is trying to promote the idea of a family business because her husband and her daughters work around the place. This definitely suits the place. I am always satisfied with the products, food and the service here. I recommend this place to all those struggling with authentic Mexican food withdrawal or anyone who wants to try/loves Mexican food.

This is exactly what I’ve been searching for since moving into this area. A small, authentic Mexican store so that I can buy pre-marinated meats and all of my other favorites. They have pre-cooked carnitas and Mexican pan(sweet pastries) which were reasonably priced. The marinated carne asada was great and cheaper than other stores I’ve found it in in this area. This place was a real find for me, and I plan on visiting them weekly.

Good selections when it comes to meat. Reasonable prices. They also have Mexican candy, Popsicles, & sweet bread. If you’re looking to make carne asada this is the place to go. One stop shop.

Picked up some carne asada and ceviche. Great meat and salsa. Small market, not a lot of selection otherwise but I got what I came for. Will definitely be going back. Tasty tasty!

A small little Mexican Market that sells meat, Mexican cooking items and also sells take out Mexican food in the back of the store. I grew up with homemade Mexican cooking so I know what it should taste like. The tacos and burritos are some of the best around. The meat is well marinated and very tasty. I eat here at least twice per week. Prices are very reasonable. Great find!

This place might be the best restaurant in the area, and the prices are insanely cheap. It has better taco’s than most oakland stands, for a buck and a quarter. Delicious guacamole and everything a growing boy like me looks for in a meal. Tasty and unhealthy. Best Menudo in the Sacto area that I’ve had. The joint in rocklin is close, but theirs is hit n miss… and now this one is too… oh well.
