I have appreciated the mix of tenants at this center, particularly the fact that I can shop at World Market and Trader Joe’s while getting my car serviced at America’s Tire. I would love to see more local business here also. I have a complaint, however, about the fact that there are very often solicitors outside of Trader Joe’s – usually of a religious nature. They are generally very vocal about their views and freely offer greetings that are specific to their faith with no consideration for their audience. Due to the tight space outside the exit, you are forced to have to deal with them and can’t easily go around – they usually have a table set up right outside the sliding door. This is such a persistent issue that I’m starting to reconsider my patronage of the center which is really a shame for the tenants to be punished by losing business due to the policies of the center. I would like the property management team to require solicitors, like smokers, to keep a minimum distance outside of business entries and exits. Free speech is one thing, harassment and panhandling another.
